Onychoschizia: Scanning electron microscopy
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1984The distal ends of the fingernails of four women with onychoschizia were studied with scanning electron microscopy. The dorsal surface and tip of each nail showed horizontal lamellar separations representing single cell layers. Some cleavage lines extended proximally into the nail plate, revealing remarkable sculptured cell surfaces deep within the ...

Automated and Autonomous Experiments in Electron and Scanning Probe Microscopy.
ACS Nano, 2021Machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI) are rapidly becoming an indispensable part of physics research, with domain applications ranging from theory and materials prediction to high-throughput data analysis. In parallel, the recent successes

Scanning Electron Microscopy of Retinoblastoma
Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, 1978Two cases of the so-called undifferentiated retinoblastoma are demonstrated where typical rosettes were absent. However, cell groups resembling rosettes existed. Scanning electron microscopy revealed a tendency of the cells to arrange in circles or in garland-like formations.

Scanning Electron Microscopy of Cells
Science, 1969The scanning electron energy-analyzing microscope uses characteristic energy losses to provide picture contrast. At different levels of energy loss particular structures are distinguished with high contrast in an unstained section of a cell.

Scanning electron microscopy of staphylococcus
Journal of Ultrastructure Research, 1977The surface of Staphylococcus was examined in the field emission source scanning electron microscope and the following observations were obtained. The cell surface consisted of three areas, the smooth, the less smooth and the rough. Two cells were joined together facing each other at the smooth area.

Scanning electron microscopy of ovoimplantation
Archiv fr Gynkologie, 1972Blastocysts were obtained from mice in experimentally delayed implantation at various intervals after administration of different doses of oestradiol-17β and examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Stroboscopic scanning electron microscopy
Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1968High frequency cyclic voltages on a specimen surface have been studied pictorially, in the scanning electron microscope, by applying the principle of the sampling oscilloscope. The electron beam in the microscope column is pulsed, and the phase varied with respect to that of the waveform on the specimen.

Scanning electron microscopy of the lung
Human Pathology, 1970Abstract We have examined the lungs of humans, baboons, pigs, and mice with a scanning electron microscope. The tissues were prepared in various ways, including formalin vapor fixation, freeze drying, and conventional methods of tissue processing for transmission electron microscopy. Glutaraldehyde fixed and alcohol dehydrated tissues presently appear

Scanning Electron Microscopy of Dermatofibromas
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 1979The three‐dimensional morphology of six dermatofibromas was studied by scanning electron microscopy. Hypertrophic epidermal ridges covered with large keratinized cells overlay each dermal lesion. Small collagenous fibers in the tumors contrasted with the bundles of much larger collagenous fibers in the normal dermis peripheral to the lesions.

Modern Scanning Electron Microscopy. 2. Test Objects for Scanning Electron Microscopy
Journal of Surface Investigation: X-ray, Synchrotron and Neutron Techniques, 2023The review of the test objects intended for calibration of scanning electron microscopes and researches to secondary electronic emission of a relief surface of a solid state in scanning electron microscope is carried out. The test objects are divided on two parameters – kind of a relief and structure of a relief.
