The Initial Phase of Photoelectrochemical Anodization of Si in Alkaline Media Investigated by Synchrotron Radiation Photoelectron Spectroscopy (SRPES) and Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) [PDF]

open access: yesMRS Proceedings, 2013
ABSTRACTAnodic oxide formation and chemical and electrochemical etching of n-Si(111) have been investigated in alkaline media. Due to the complexity of the processes, the investigation has been restricted to the initial phase where a transitory anodic photocurrent peak is observed slightly positive from the open circuit potential (ocp).

Biomimetic Gradient Hydrogels Regulate Osteochondral Regeneration Microenvironment Remodeling via Spatiotemporal Programming Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electric field‑driven continuous gradient hydrogel GHZF4 achieves spatiotemporal growth factor release, modulates immune microenvironment, angiogenesis and osteochondral differentiation. It realizes cell‑free functional osteochondral repair in rat/rabbit models, offering a promising biomimetic strategy for gradient tissue regeneration.

Ti‐Doping Activates Adjacent Zr Sites in Bimetallic MOFs for Cooperative Phospholipid Removals in Human Biomonitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ti‐doped Zr/Ti bimetallic MOFs activate neighboring Zr sites to selectively capture phospholipids from serum through cooperative interactions. In nontargeted screening, the material minimizes matrix interference, expands detectable feature coverage, and enables broad recovery of diverse chemical hazards, providing a powerful cleanup strategy for LC ...

Application of helium ion microscopy to nanostructured polymer materials

open access: yesNanotechnology Reviews, 2014
Helium ion microscopy (HIM) is a relatively new high-resolution nanotechnology imaging and nanofabrication tool. HIM offers a near-molecular resolution (approaching that of TEM) combined with a simplicity of sample preparation and high depth of field ...

Hydrogen‐Stabilized Self‐Rectifying Memristor Arrays for Reliable Multilevel Synapses in Transformer‐Based Keyword Spotting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A non‐filamentary self‐rectifying HfO2/TiOx resistive random‐access memory integrates H2 annealing with an incremental step pulse with verify algorithm to achieve stable and linear analog conductance modulation. The device enables low‐current 6‐bit multilevel operation while suppressing sneak current in crossbar arrays. Implemented in Transformer‐based

Isomeric Ag14 Nanoclusters With Distinct Photophysical and Nanomechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ligand‐shell isomerism in atomically precise Ag14 nanoclusters is demonstrated to regulate core distortion, photoluminescence, and mechanical properties. Subtle changes in phosphine ligand arrangement drive a pronounced emission shift from green to red and alter crystal rigidity, revealing a direct structure‐property correlation that offers new design ...

Partial Phase‐Separation in the Initial Growth Stage of Exsolution‐Active SrTi0.95‐xNi0.05NbxO3‐δ Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation emerges during the initial growth of heavily Ni‐ and Ni,Nb‐co‐doped STO thin films, leading to preferential accumulation of Ni and embedded NiOx nanoinclusions in thicker films. Nb co‐doping partially suppresses the ordering of these embedded structures, comprising about 20% of all Ni ions.
