The liposome nanoreactor method enables uniform metal nanoparticle synthesis using the interior as a reaction environment. We demonstrate that peptide sequences and lipid compositions act as a functional molecular switch to control reaction environments in liposome nanoreactors.

A field‐driven transition from chiral stripes to an achiral fan state is observed in a tetragonal magnet and linked to a temperature‐dependent rotation of the effective Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction axis. This interplay generates pronounced in‐plane anisotropy and provides a new route for controlling chiral spin textures in noncentrosymmetric ...

Tailoring Light Management in All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells: The Impact of Nanotextures
To further improve the power conversion efficiency of all‐perovskite tandem solar cells, light management strategies need to be implemented. Front‐sided nanotextures reduce reflection losses, which boosts light absorption, thus increasing the tandem JSC, which is further supported by reducing parasitic absorption.

Sky‐Directional Radiative Cooling Meta‐Films for Daylighting Windows
A geometry‐mediated microprism meta‐film enables transparent, sky‐directional radiative cooling for daylighting windows. By decoupling control of visible transmittance from mid‐infrared emissivity, ground‐emitted heat absorption is suppressed while skyward heat dissipation is enhanced.

Atmospheric Pressure Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy
Nano Letters, 2010Scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) images of gold nanoparticles at atmospheric pressure have been recorded through a 0.36 mm thick mixture of CO, O2, and He. This was accomplished using a reaction cell consisting of two electron-transparent silicon nitride membranes.

Transmission, Scanning Transmission, and Scanning Electron Microscopy
2021The properties of magnetic materials are closely related to their microstructure and micromagnetic structures like magnetic domains and spin textures. Electron microscopy is a powerful technique to characterize such features at nanometer resolution.

Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy
2015The scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) is one of the most useful tools in many areas of atomic-scale materials science and nanocharacterization. A STEM has the ability to generate local maps of the chemical composition and electronic structure at atomic resolution, even in complex or unknown samples.

Scanning Electron Microscopy of Trematodes Embedded for Transmission Electron Microscopy
The Journal of Parasitology, 1973Chipping plastic from the surface of trematodes embedded for transmission electron microscopy permits high resolution scanning electron microscopy of surface features. The surfaces of the trematodes Megalodiscus temperatus, Diclidophora merlangi, and Schistosoma mansoni are described and comparisons are made with previous studies using the transmission

Automated electron tomography with scanning transmission electron microscopy
Journal of Microscopy, 2007SummaryWe report the successful implementation of a fully automated tomographic data collection system in scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) mode. Autotracking is carried out by combining mechanical and electronic corrections for specimen movement. Autofocusing is based on contrast difference of a focus series of a small sample area.
