Effect of various electron and hole transport layers on the performance of CsPbI3-based perovskite solar cells: A numerical investigation in DFT, SCAPS-1D, and wxAMPS frameworks

open access: yes, 2022
CsPbI3 has recently received tremendous attention as a possible absorber of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, CsPbI3-based PSCs have yet to achieve the high performance of the hybrid PSCs. In this work, we performed a density functional theory (DFT)

Numerical Analysis of AgInSe2‐Based Thin‐Film Solar Cells Towards High Efficiency

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
In this work, SCAPS‐1D is used to numerically explore AgInSe2‐based thin‐film solar cells. Using CuS, WSe2, and AlSb as back surface field (BSF) layers with a CdS window improves carrier separation and built‐in potential. AgInSe2's promise for high‐performance, stable, and environmentally friendly solar applications is demonstrated by the optimised CdS/

Modeling and performance investigation of novel inorganic Cs4CuSb2Cl12 nanocrystal perovskite solar cell using SCAPS-1D [PDF]

open access: yes
For the next generation of photovoltaic devices, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) appear as a good choice because they are simple and convert energy to electricity very efficiently.

DFT Modeling and Impedance Spectroscopy Analysis of a High Performance Zirconia‐Based Solar Cell

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
p‐SnS/n‐CdS heterojunction solar cells with Al‐ZnO/i‐ZnO window layers simulated using SCAPS‐1D and impedance spectroscopy enabled tracking of solar cell parameters. The optimal performance (η = 22.76%, Voc = 0.77 V) was achieved with a 5 µm SnS absorber at Rs = 1Ω.cm−2 and Rsh = 10 kΩ.cm−2.

Analysis of absorber and buffer layer band gap grading on CIGS thin film solar cell performance using SCAPS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A numerical simulation and analysis was performed to investigate the effect of absorber and buffer layer band gap grading and on a Copper-Indium-Gallium-Diselenide (CIGS) solar cell. The software used is the Solar Cell Capacitance Simulator (SCAPS).

Effect of Doping Density and Parasitic Resistances on The Performance of Perovskite Solar Cells-based Graphene Oxide as Hole Transport Layer by SCAPS-1D [PDF]

open access: yes
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have demonstrated remarkable improvement and promise to be produced as large-scale, low-cost devices. Several resistive losses, such as the loss current, the trapping, and the recombination of charge carriers, significantly ...

Reprogramming SREBP1‐dependent lipogenesis and inflammation in high‐risk breast with licochalcone A: A novel path to cancer prevention

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 158, Issue 7, Page 1927-1940, 1 April 2026.
What's new? Endocrine drugs repurposed from treatment protocols are the primary medications available for breast cancer (BC) prevention in at‐risk women. Adverse effects, however, significantly minimize uptake and prevention impact. Here, the authors investigated licochalcone A (LicA), a non‐endocrine anti‐inflammatory agent with reported hematologic ...
