The results showed that the reduction of plasma 24‐hydroxycholesterol (24‐OHC) was related to the cognitive decline in elderly surgical patients. Neuroinflammation induced by anesthesia and surgery significantly downregulated SREBP2 in hippocampal reactive astrocytes, resulting in reduced cholesterol synthesis.

Effect of Doping Density and Parasitic Resistances on The Performance of Perovskite Solar Cells-based Graphene Oxide as Hole Transport Layer by SCAPS-1D [PDF]
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have demonstrated remarkable improvement and promise to be produced as large-scale, low-cost devices. Several resistive losses, such as the loss current, the trapping, and the recombination of charge carriers, significantly ...

What's new? Endocrine drugs repurposed from treatment protocols are the primary medications available for breast cancer (BC) prevention in at‐risk women. Adverse effects, however, significantly minimize uptake and prevention impact. Here, the authors investigated licochalcone A (LicA), a non‐endocrine anti‐inflammatory agent with reported hematologic ...

Design and simulation of C2N based solar cell by SCAPS-1D software
Abstract: Recently, a novel nitrogenated holey two-dimensional material, C2N, has been successfully synthesized via a simple wet-chemical reaction. Its merits have drawn much attention from the scientists. However, to the best of our knowledge, few reported works employed C2N as photovoltaic materials and the practical solar cells based ...

Transfer of Energy and Momentum Between Magnetoactive Surface Microstructure and a Solid Object
We demonstrate that magnetoactive multilamellar arrays subjected to a rotating magnetic field can function as platforms for controlled transport of physical objects. Through systematic experimental investigation, we elucidate the underlying physical mechanisms determining the upper limit of the achievable transportation speed in such magnetic “conveyor‐
