4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

Determination of the scattering anisotropy with optical coherence tomography

open access: yesOptics Express, 2011
In this work we demonstrate measurements with optical coherence tomography (OCT) of the scattering phase function in the backward direction and the scattering anisotropy parameter g. Measurements of the OCT attenuation coefficient and the backscattering amplitude are performed on calibrated polystyrene microspheres with a time-domain OCT system.

Thermo‐Mechanically Recyclable Smart Textiles from Circularly Knitted Liquid Crystal Elastomer Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Reprogrammable multi‐material smart textiles knitted from liquid crystal elastomer fibers undergo 2D and 3D deformation under thermal and photo stimuli. Circularly knitted tubular structures reversibly contract in radial and axial directions, enabling autonomous climbing, liquid release, and micro pumping.

Temperature independent diffuse scattering and elastic lattice deformations in relaxor PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3

open access: yes, 2011
The results of diffuse neutron scattering experiment on PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 single crystal above the Burns temperature are reported. It is shown that the high temperature elastic diffuse component is highly anisotropic in low-symmetry Brillouin zones and this

Pauli anisotropy in high-energy deuteron scattering

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1976
Abstract Antisymmetrization of the deuteron-nucleus system leads to an effective three-body interaction that is quadrupole in the neutron-proton displacement vector. This can cause anisotropic deuteron breakup or polarization of scatered deutrons. The effect is largest at about 100 MeV. A relation to work by Ioanides and Johnson is indicated.

Anisotropy of small-angle neutron scattering in metallic glasses (*)

open access: yesJournal de Physique Lettres, 1983
SANS in metallic glasses is anisotropic and depends on the orientation of the ribbons. Pd-based melt-spun and Ni- based electrochemically deposited glasses exhibit different anisotropies. Both glasses contain scattering centres of the order of 40 nm wide in the ribbon plane.

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Effect of molecular anisotropy on the intensity and degree of polarization of light scattered from model atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yes
Computations of the intensity, flux, degree of polarization, and the positions of neutral points are presented for models of the terrestrial gaseous and hazy atmospheres by incorporating the molecular anisotropy due to air in the Rayleigh scattering ...

Origin of the DC and AC conductivity anisotropy in iron-based superconductors: scattering rate versus spectral weight effects

open access: yes, 2015
To shed light on the mechanism responsible for the in-plane resistivity anisotropy in the nematic phase of the iron-based superconductors, we investigate the impact of spin fluctuations on the anisotropic AC conductivity.

Laser light polarization plastic visualizer: light scattering distribution and anisotropy

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2013
A laser light polarization visualizer (LPV) is obtainable by the photopolymerization of a multi-acrylate monomer, initiated by diketones under a single beam nano-pulsed (lambda = 532 nm) laser light. The derived light scattering distribution and polymer anisotropy are dependent on the polarization state of the incident-polymerizing beam.
