Rod‐shaped Polymerized Salicylic Acid Particles Modulate Neutrophil Transendothelial Migration in Acute Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Rod‐shaped particles outperform spherical particles of the same volume in preventing neutrophil infiltration to inflamed areas, both in vitro and in vivo. This therapeutic effectiveness is attributed to better cell targeting and decreased cell motility, resulting from the geometry‐driven phagocytosis and inhibited actin polymerization.

Competitive Algorithms from Competitive Equilibria: Non-Clairvoyant Scheduling under Polyhedral Constraints [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We introduce and study a general scheduling problem that we term the Packing Scheduling problem. In this problem, jobs can have different arrival times and sizes; a scheduler can process job $j$ at rate $x_j$, subject to arbitrary packing constraints over the set of rates ($\vec{x}$) of the outstanding jobs.

RBC Membrane‐Camouflaged Nanosystem‐Mediated Synergistic Drug Combination for Enhanced Anti‐Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An RBC membrane camouflaged, cell‐penetrating peptides R8‐based drug delivery system is constructed to achieve a synergistic combination of natural compounds triptolide (TP) and celastrol (Cel), inducing tumor cell apoptosis, reducing tumor metastasis invasion and triggering autophagy disorder in breast cancer and liver cancer.

Construction Scheduling and Stability of the Resulting Schedules

open access: yesArchives of Civil Engineering, 2016
Abstract The paper present the concept of stability assessing the of solutions which are construction schedules. Rank have been obtained through the use of task scheduling rules and the application of the KASS software. The aim of the work is the choice of the equivalent solution in terms of the total time of the project.

CLDN18.2 CAR‐derived Extracellular Vesicle Immunotherapy Improves Outcome in Murine Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
CLDN18.2 CAR‐T cell‐derived small extracellular vesicles (CAR‐sEVs) display potent cytotoxicity and prolong survival in preclinical pancreatic cancer models. They contain functional CAR proteins and granzyme B, exhibit antigen specificity, and effectively target tumor cells while sparing healthy cells.

Revisiting the Schedule Graph Generation for the Exact and Sustainable Analysis of Non-preemptive Scheduling [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper addresses the problem of scheduling non-preemptive tasks with release jitter and execution time variation on a uniprocessor. We show that the schedulability analysis based on schedule graph generation, proposed by Nasri and Brandenburg [RTSS 2017], produces negative results when it could be easily avoided by slightly reformalizing the notion

Immunosuppressive Cytokine‐Tethered Hydrogel for Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
An injectable hydrogel is developed by chemically tethering IL‐4, an immunosuppressive cytokine, to a hyaluronic acid‐based backbone. The hydrogel reduces joint friction and exerts immunomodulatory effects. In a rheumatoid arthritis (RA) mouse model, it reduced inflammation, preserved cartilage, and promoted anti‐inflammatory immune responses.

A Novel High-Speed Configurable Viterbi Decoder for Broadband Access

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2003
A novel design and implementation of an online reconfigurable Viterbi decoder is proposed, based on an area-efficient add-compare-select (ACS) architecture, in which the constraint length and traceback depth can be dynamically reconfigured.
