Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Research on emergency scheduling based on improved genetic algorithm in harvester failure scenarios

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
In response to the issue of harvesting machine failures affecting crop harvesting timing, this study develops an emergency scheduling model and proposes a hybrid optimization algorithm that combines a genetic algorithm and an ant colony algorithm.

Optimal Algorithms for Scheduling under Time-of-Use Tariffs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We consider a natural generalization of classical scheduling problems in which using a time unit for processing a job causes some time-dependent cost which must be paid in addition to the standard scheduling cost.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Collective Schedules: Axioms and Algorithms

open access: yes, 2022
The collective schedules problem consists in computing a schedule of tasks shared between individuals. Tasks may have different duration, and individuals have preferences over the order of the shared tasks. This problem has numerous applications since tasks may model public infrastructure projects, events taking place in a shared room, or work done by ...

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Sistem Penjadwalan Pertandingan Pencak Silat Berbasis Algoritma Genetika

open access: yesIJCCS (Indonesian Journal of Computing and Cybernetics Systems), 2017
Genetic Algorithm is one of famous algorithm and often used in many sector. Usually genetic algoritm is used in solution searching about complex problems. Pencak silat macth scheduling is a complex scheduling and needs a lot of time to made it. Objective

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Multi-duplication fault tolerant scheduling algorithm based on genetic algorithm in heterogeneous systems

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2015
The fault-tolerant task scheduling mechanisms based on multi-duplication didn’t consider the scheduling makespan, the dependencies between tasks, the failures of the links and the longer scheduling makespan caused by the strict scheduling method in the ...

Comparison Performance of Genetic Algorithm and Ant Colony Optimization in Course Scheduling Optimizing

open access: yesScientific Journal of Informatics, 2016
Scheduling problems at the university is a complex type of scheduling problems. The scheduling process should be carried out at every turn of the semester's. The core of the problem of scheduling courses at the university is that the number of components
