An Enantiomerically Pure Schiff Base Ligand
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1997(1R,2R)-(-)-N,N'-bis(quinoline-2-methylidene)-1,2-cyclo-hexanediamine, C 26 H 24 N 4 , was prepared by the reaction of quinoline-2-carbaldehyde and the corresponding diamine. The crystal structure of the resulting enantiomerically pure quadridentate ligand has been determined.

Synthesis of acyclic dinucleating Schiff base-pyridine and schiff base-phosphine ligands
Tetrahedron Letters, 1995Abstract 5-tert-butyl-3-pyridyl-salicyaldehyde and 5-tert-butyl-3-diphenylphosphino-salicyaldehyde have been synthesized from 4-tert-butylphenol in good overall yields. Condensation of the salicyaldehydes with 2,3-diamino-2-3-dimethylbutane afforded the desired dinucleating Schiff base-pyridine and Schiff base-phosphine ligands respectively.

Molybdenum–tetracarbonyl complexes with Schiff base ligands
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1999The single-crystal X-ray structure determinations of the title complexes, tetracarbonyl{2-[1-(methylimino)ethyl]-pyridine-N,N'}molybdenum(0), [Mo(C 8 H 10 N 2 )(CO) 4 ], and tetracarbonyl{2-[(methylimino)phenylmethyl]pyridine-N,N}molybdenum(0), [Mo(C 13 H 12 N 2 )(CO) 4 ], show that the molybdenum complexes exhibit distorted octahedral geometry.

Synthesis of chiral sulfonamide/Schiff base ligands
Tetrahedron: Asymmetry, 1998Abstract We report a facile two step synthesis of chiral ligands for bonding to transition metals. The ligands are easily prepared from trans -1,2-diaminocyclohexane by reaction with sulfonyl chlorides to give amino-sulfonamide compounds. These intermediates are then condensed with salicylaldehyde derivatives to provide sulfonamide/Schiff base ...

PENTADENTATE LIGANDS VIII. COPPER(II) COMPLEXES OF SCHIFF BASE LIGANDS
Journal of Coordination Chemistry, 1973Abstract Copper(II) complexes of a related series of potentially pentadentate ligands derived from substituted salicylaldehydes and 2,2′-(aminoethyl)-sulfide, 3,3′-bis(aminopropyl)sulfide, 3,3′-bis(aminopropyl)ether and diethylenetriamine have been prepared. Elemental analysis, mass, infrared and visible spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements

Ferrocene-Based Tetradentate Schiff Bases as Supporting Ligands in Uranium Chemistry
Inorganic Chemistry, 2015Uranyl(VI), uranyl(V), and uranium(IV) complexes supported by ferrocene-based tetradentate Schiff-base ligands were synthesized, and their solid-state and solution structures were determined. The redox properties of all complexes were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The bulky salfen-(t)Bu2 allows the preparation of a stable uranyl(V) complex, while

Manganese(III) Complexes Involving Pentadentate Schiff Base Ligands
Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry, 1977Abstract Manganese(III) complexes incorporating pentadentate Schiff base ligands have been prepared from their manganese(II) precursors via two routes. These routes involve oxidation by molecular oxygen in the presence of an anion, and oxidation by iodine.

Cyclometallation, Palladium(II) Complexes with Schiff Base Ligands
Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic and Metal-Organic Chemistry, 1986Abstract A number of new cyclometallated complexes of palladium with Schiff bases have been synthesized and characterized. These ligands with palladium(II) acetate gave the acetato-bridged dimers. These were converted to the corresponding halooeno-bridged dimers by reaction with sodium chloride or sodium bromide. Reaction of the latter complexes with P(
