This study aimed to evaluate the influence of temperature and duration of heat treatment on the mass loss of Paricá (Schizolobium parahyba var. amazonicum) splints. Test specimens were subjected to heat treatment at 160ºC, 180ºC, 200ºC, and 220ºC for 1 and 3 hours.
