Delineating gender/sex‐related studies through bibliometric analysis

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract The multidisciplinary and socially grounded nature of Women's/Gender/Feminist Studies poses unique challenges for bibliometric analysis, as it extends beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries. This paper makes three key contributions: (1) We propose a novel retrieval method for constructing a corpus of scholarly documents in research areas ...

Schubert Calculus and the Homology of the Peterson Variety [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2015
We use the tight correlation between the geometry of the Peterson variety and the combinatorics the symmetric group to prove that homology of the Peterson variety injects into the homology of the flag variety. Our proof counts the points of intersection between certain Schubert varieties in the full flag variety and the Peterson variety, and shows that

RETRACTED: Learner emotions and performance in hypercasual VR games with adaptive AI difficulty

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Hypercasual virtual reality games (HVRGs) are widely regarded as cost‐effective tools for rapid skill acquisition, yet the mechanisms that optimise their effectiveness and user acceptance remain insufficiently explored. This mixed‐methods empirical study investigates how playful emotions, characterised by engagement, enjoyment and anxiety ...

Schubert line defects in 3d GLSMs. Part II. Partial flag manifolds and parabolic quantum polynomials

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We construct Schubert line defects in the 3d N = 2 $$ \mathcal{N}=2 $$ supersymmetric gauged linear sigma model (GLSM) with target space a partial flag manifold X = Fl(k; n), generalizing our construction for complete flag manifolds given in a companion ...

LS algebras, valuations, and Schubert varieties

open access: yesRendiconti Lincei, Matematica e Applicazioni, 2023
In this paper, we propose an algebraic approach via Lakshmibai–Seshadri (LS) algebras to establish a link between standard monomial theories, Newton–Okounkov bodies and valuations. This is applied to Schubert varieties, where this approach is compatible with the one using Seshadri stratifications in arXiv:2112.03776, showing that LS paths encode ...

Virtual Reality Externalization (VR‐E) for Patients With Eating Disorders: A Pilot Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Despite significant health and psychosocial impairments, many individuals with eating disorders (ED) view their disorder as an integral part of their identity. Because this “ego‐syntonicity” is associated with low treatment motivation and treatment dropouts, we investigated the acceptability, feasibility, and effects of a newly ...

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact

An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.
