On the order of the Schur multiplier of a pair of finite p-groups II [PDF]
Let G be a finite p-group and N be a normal subgroup of G with |N|=p^n and |M|=p^m. A result of Ellis (1998) shows that the order of the Schur multiplier of such a pair (G,N) of finite p-groups is bounded by p^(1/2 n(2m+n-1)) and hence it is equal to p ...

A Parallelized 3D Geomechanical Solver for Fluid‐Induced Fault Slip in Poroelastic Media
ABSTRACT We present a fully implicit formulation of coupled fluid flow and geomechanics for fluid injection/withdrawal in fractured reservoirs in the context of CO2$\textrm {CO}_2$ storage. Utilizing a Galerkin finite‐element approach, both flow and poroelasticity equations are discretized on a shared three‐dimensional mesh.

MolViewStories: Interactive molecular storytelling
Abstract Effectively communicating knowledge related to molecular structures and their associated data remains a challenge, as traditional static figures limit interactivity and professional visualization tools often require substantial expertise. MolViewStories addresses these limitations by providing an open‐source, web‐based platform for creating ...

Data‐Based Refinement of Parametric Uncertainty Descriptions
ABSTRACT We consider dynamical systems with a linear fractional representation involving parametric uncertainties which are either constant or varying with time. Given a finite‐horizon input‐state or input‐output trajectory of such a system, we propose a numerical scheme which iteratively improves the available knowledge about the involved constant ...

Schur Complements of Block Kronecker Products
The paper is established on Schur complements and block Kronecker product of positive semidefinite matrices. In particular, a formulation for the block Kronecker product of Schur complements of block matrices is improved. Additionally, an new following inequality for block Kronecker product of Schur complements of two matrices and their conjugate ...

ABSTRACT This paper presents a robust control synthesis and analysis framework for nonlinear systems with uncertain initial conditions. First, a deep learning‐based lifting approach is proposed to approximate nonlinear dynamical systems with linear parameter‐varying (LPV) state‐space models in higher‐dimensional spaces while simultaneously ...
