Clifford Theory with Schur Indexes
A concept of central simple \(G\)-algebras is introduced, as well as an equivalence relation among central simple \(G\)-algebras. From it, a set of equivalence classes is obtained which generalizes the Brauer group of a field, as well as the Brauer-Wall group.

ABSTRACT This article provides insights into how Bourdieu's social theory can be used to explore the complex experiences of female military officers. It has been over 20 years since feminist scholars first extended Bourdieu's framework to include gender, arguing that women are often denied access to valued capital in organizations due to the gendered ...

A note on fixed points of automorphisms of infinite groups [PDF]
Motivated by a celebrated theorem of Schur, we show that if $Gamma$ is a normal subgroup of the full automorphism group $Aut(G)$ of a group $G$ such that $Inn(G)$ is contained in $Gamma$ and $Aut(G)/Gamma$ has no uncountable abelian subgroups of prime ...

Robust Bernoulli Mixture Models for Credit Portfolio Risk
ABSTRACT This paper presents comparison results and establishes risk bounds for credit portfolios within classes of Bernoulli mixture models, assuming conditionally independent defaults that are stochastically increasing in a common risk factor. We provide simple and interpretable conditions on conditional default probabilities that imply a comparison ...

Remote4All: Voicing the Lived Experiences of Disabled and/or Neurodivergent Remote Workers
ABSTRACT Disabled and/or neurodivergent people form 20% of the UK working population but their experience of remote working has been overlooked in research and practice. This research gave a voice to this community of workers to express their lived experience about how remote working can help to support their specific needs.

On the groups satisfying the converse of Schur's theorem [PDF]
A famous theorem of Schur states that for a group G finiteness of G/Z(G) implies the finiteness of G′. The converse of Schur’s theorem is an interesting problem which has been considered by some authors.

We compute the Schur index of Argyres-Douglas theories of type (A N −1 ,A M −1) with surface operators inserted, via the Higgsing prescription proposed by D. Gaiotto, L. Rastelli and S.S. Razamat.

Trade and Selection With Heterogeneous Firms and Perfect Competition
ABSTRACT This paper extends the Heckscher–Ohlin–Samuelson framework to allow for heterogeneous firms with capacity constraints. We show that the central theorems of the HOS model (as well as their standard generalizations via duality) carry over to our setting.

N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 conformal duals of gauged E n MN models
We suggest three new N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 conformal dual pairs. First, we argue that the N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2 E 6 Minahan-Nemeschansky (MN) theory with a USp(4) subgroup of the E 6 global symmetry conformally gauged with an N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 ...
