Physical disability in the workplace: A career life cycle review

open access: yesApplied Psychology, Volume 75, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract This review examines how individuals with physical disabilities experience the career life cycle, with a central focus on how variability in physical disability visibility shapes the accommodations provided to these individuals and their broader career experiences.

Does disability trump family background? Determinants of electoral participation among young individuals with intellectual disability

open access: yesPolitical Psychology, Volume 47, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract Systematic differences of electoral participation between various social groups indicate crucial constraints of comprehensive democratic inclusion. Yet, there is a dearth of research on electoral participation among individuals with intellectual disability (ID), whose participation rates are considerably lower than among non‐ID citizens.

Schur type inequalities for multivariate polynomials on convex bodies

open access: yesDolomites Research Notes on Approximation, 2017
Summary: We give sharp Schur type inequalities for multivariate polynomials with generalized Jacobi weights on arbitrary convex domains. In particular, these results yield estimates for norms of factors of multivariate polynomials.

The Benjamin–Ono Equation in the Zero‐Dispersion Limit for Rational Initial Data: Generation of Dispersive Shock Waves

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 9, Page 2107-2157, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The leading‐order asymptotic behavior of the solution of the Cauchy initial‐value problem for the Benjamin–Ono equation in L2(R)$L^2(\mathbb {R})$ is obtained explicitly for generic rational initial data u0$u_0$. An explicit asymptotic wave profile uZD(t,x;ε)$u^\mathrm{ZD}(t,x;\epsilon)$ is given, in terms of the branches of the multivalued ...

Mendelianization: Concentrating Polygenic Signal Into a Single Causal Locus

open access: yesGenetic Epidemiology, Volume 50, Issue 6, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Complex disorders such as depression and alcohol use involve numerous genetic variants, and implicated loci continue to grow with sample size. This proliferation hampers interpretability, as the mechanisms by which so many variants jointly contribute to pathophysiology remain unclear.

Bernstein type inequalities for Schur-Szegö composition of polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Inequalities
Summary: In this paper we prove some inequalities for Schur-Szegö composition of polynomials, which inter-alia include classical Bernstein type inequalities for polynomials with restricted zeros.

The probability of generating finite and profinite groups

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 114, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Famously, every finite simple group G$G$ can be generated by a pair of elements. Moreover, Liebeck and Shalev (1995) proved that the probability that a pair of elements generate G$G$ tends to 1 as |G|→∞$|G| \rightarrow \infty$. In this paper, we generalize this theorem of Liebeck and Shalev. Work of Lucchini and Menegazzo (1997) implies that a

Cauchy identities for staircase matrices

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 114, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract The well‐known Cauchy identity expresses the product of terms (1−xiyj)−1${(1-{x}_{i}{y}_{j})}^{-1}$ for (i,j)$(i,j)$ indexing entries of a rectangular m×n$m\ensuremath{\times{}}n$‐matrix as a sum over partitions λ$\lambda $ of products of Schur polynomials: sλ(x)sλ(y)${s}_{\lambda}(x){s}_{\lambda}(y)$.

On Elliott's conjecture and applications

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 133, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Let f:N→D$f:\mathbb {N}\rightarrow \mathbb {D}$ be a multiplicative function. Under the merely necessary assumption that f$f$ is nonpretentious (in the sense of Granville and Soundararajan), we show that for any pair of distinct integer shifts h1,h2$h_1,h_2$, the two‐point correlation 1x∑n⩽xf(n+h1)f¯(n+h2)$$\begin{equation*} \frac{1}{x}\sum _ ...

Bulk‐Surface Coupled PDE With an Open Boundary

open access: yesStudies in Applied Mathematics, Volume 157, Issue 2, August 2026.
ABSTRACT We study a bulk‐surface coupled Laplace system involving an embedded open boundary. The problem is reformulated as an integro‐differential equation using boundary integral representations, for which we establish existence and uniqueness of the solution.
