Multi-view Cross-Modality MR Image Translation for Vestibular Schwannoma and Cochlea Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
In this work, we propose a multi-view image translation framework, which can translate contrast-enhanced T1 (ceT1) MR imaging to high-resolution T2 (hrT2) MR imaging for unsupervised vestibular schwannoma and cochlea segmentation. We adopt two image translation models in parallel that use a pixel-level consistent constraint and a patch-level ...

Schwannoma of the Supraglottis [PDF]

open access: yesEar, Nose & Throat Journal, 2021
Hoarseness lasting greater than 2 weeks should be thoroughly evaluated. Here, a case is presented of a 38-year-old female with a 10-year history of dysphonia. Endoscopic examination confirmed the presence of a supraglottic mass, for which operative biopsy and imaging were performed. Pathology confirmed the diagnosis of supraglottic schwannoma.

Cross-Modality Domain Adaptation for Vestibular Schwannoma and Cochlea Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Automatic methods to segment the vestibular schwannoma (VS) tumors and the cochlea from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are critical to VS treatment planning. Although supervised methods have achieved satisfactory performance in VS segmentation, they require full annotations by experts, which is laborious and time-consuming.

A Clinical Guideline Driven Automated Linear Feature Extraction for Vestibular Schwannoma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Vestibular Schwannoma is a benign brain tumour that grows from one of the balance nerves. Patients may be treated by surgery, radiosurgery or with a conservative "wait-and-scan" strategy. Clinicians typically use manually extracted linear measurements to aid clinical decision making.
