Botulinum Toxin for First Bite Syndrome: A Symptom‐Guided “Follow‐The‐Pain” Injection Strategy
ABSTRACT Background To evaluate botulinum toxin type A (BoNT‐A) for First Bite Syndrome (FBS) and assess a symptom‐guided “Follow‐the‐Pain” (FTP) injection strategy in patients with incomplete response to standard treatment. Methods Consecutive patients with postoperative FBS were treated with ultrasound‐guided intraparotid BoNT‐A injection.

Cystic schwannoma mimicking a second branchial cleft cyst on computed tomography
Schwannoma of the neck is a relatively uncommon tumor. Schwannoma present as insidious, slow-growing, painless masses, characteristics that often lead to an incorrect diagnosis. Cystic schanommas among schanommas are a rare entity.

Schwannoma is a mesenchymal tumor that is mainly located in the peripheral nerves or the central nervous system. Its retroperitoneal location is rare and commonly asymptomatic. Thus, it is usually diagnosed when imaging tests are performed for other purposes. The clinical course of Schwannoma is benign but it also has malignant potential.

The schwannomas are nervous tissue tumors. We report a case of schwannoma of oral tongue. Because schwannomas are quite rare in the oral cavity, they are often not immediately included in the differential diagnosis of oropharyngeal masses, causing delay in identification and treatment. The definitive diagnosis requires histopathologic examination.
