Contact Schwarzian Derivatives [PDF]
AbstractH. Sato introduced a Schwarzian derivative of a contactomorphism of ℝ3 and with T. Ozawa described its basic properties. In this note their construction is extended to all odd dimensions and to non-flat contact projective structures. The contact projective Schwarzian derivative of a contact projective structure is defined to be a cocycle of the

Schwarzian mechanics via nonlinear realizations
The method of nonlinear realizations is used to clarify some conceptual and technical issues related to the Schwarzian mechanics. It is shown that the Schwarzian derivative arises naturally, if one applies the method to SL(2,R)×R group and decides to ...

Hamiltonian structures for integrable hierarchies of Lagrangian PDEs [PDF]
Many integrable hierarchies of differential equations allow a variational description, called a Lagrangian multiform or a pluri-Lagrangian structure. The fundamental object in this theory is not a Lagrange function but a differential $d$-form that is ...

Fixed Points, Symmetries, and Bounds for Basins of Attraction of Complex Trigonometric Functions
The dynamical systems of trigonometric functions are explored, with a focus on t(z) = tan(z) and the fractal image created by iterating the Newton map, Ft(z), of t(z). The basins of attraction created from iterating Ft(z) are analyzed, and some bounds are determined for the primary basins of attraction.

PLANAR HARMONIC MAPPINGS WITH A GIVEN JACOBIAN
The article is devoted to the study of the Jacobians of sense-preserving harmonic mappings in the unit disk of the complex plane. The main result is a criterion for an infinitely differentiable positive function to be a Jacobian of some sense-preserving

Symmetry Analysis, Bäcklund Transformations, and Interaction Solutions for an AB Modified KdV System
An AB modified KdV (AB‐mKdV) system which can be used to describe two‐place event is studied in this manuscript. Because the AB‐mKdV system is considered as a special reduction of the famous AKNS system, the properties of the AKNS system are first revealed by using symmetry analysis.

Dynamical properties of maps derived from maps with strong negative Schwarzian derivative
A strong Schwarzian derivative is defined, and it is shown that the convolution of a function with a map from an interval into itself having negative strong Schwarzian derivative is a function with negative Schwarzian derivative. Such convolutions have 0

The Universal Teichmüller Space and Function Space
In this paper, a subspace TF02,1−s,s of the universal Teichmüller space, which is related to the analytic function space F0(2,1 − s, s), is introduced and the holomorphy of the Bers map is shown. It is also proved that the pre‐Bers map is holomorphic and the prelogarithmic derivative model T˜F02,1−s,s of TF02,1−s,s is a disconnected subset of the ...
