Research on the Discipline Scientification of Pedagogic Disciplines [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Social Science, Education and Humanities Research, 2015
Being a highly comprehensive subject, pedagogic discipline has many branches as well as complex interdisciplines, thus getting involved into the dilemma of living. As a matter of fact, pedagogic Disciplines belong to highly professional theory, which makes it a subject that human beings make comprehensive research on the theoretical knowledge and ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Discusiones epistemológicas en torno a la cientificidad de la Archivología [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This research is based on the premise that the strategies raised in defending the scientific status of the archival science are poorly made. It will not reach a status of science through the strategies of establishing paradigms, an object, a method, a ...

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Forest operations engineering and management – the ways behind and ahead of a scientific discipline

open access: yesCroatian Journal of Forest Engineering, 2007
The forest operations engineering and management community has been facing the problem of improving its scientific visibility, realigning its research efforts to the future challenges, and of strengthening its self-confidence. The paper aims at exploring

Transcription factors in plants and ABA dependent and independent abiotic stress signalling

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2010
Plants face variable environmental stresses that negatively affect plant growth and productivity. The multiplicity of responses is an important aspect of the complexity of stress signalling.
