Transistor Counting Systems for Scintillation Detectors [PDF]

open access: yesIRE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1960
The requirements for multiple-coincidence counting systems with 10-8 to 10-9. sec time resolution can be met economically with presently available high-frequency transistors. The design of solid-state coincidence circuits, amplitude discriminators, and decade scalers is considered and their operation discussed.

Influence of natural radium contamination of barium chloride on the determination of radium isotopes in the water samples using α/β liquid scintillation spectrometry

open access: yesNukleonika, 2016
The determination of radium isotopes in drinking water by liquid scintillation technique requires some reagents that are used for separating radium from water samples. One of the main reagents is BaCl2·H2O.

REALISATION OF RADIONUCLIDES ACTIVITY UNIT USING THE LIQUID SCINTILLATION COUNTING (LSC)

open access: yesInformatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska, 2016
Registration of the effects of interaction of the radiation emitted after radioactive decay enables determination of activity of a given material expressed in becquerels (Bq). Measurements in a frame of international comparisons of 14C activity using the

Datação radiocarbônica de sítios arqueológicos do tipo sambaqui pela técnica de absorção de CO2: uma alternativa à síntese benzênica

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2004
The sambaquis are archaeological sites with remains of pre-historical Brazilian civilizations. They look like small hills containing different kinds of shells, animal and fish bones, small artifacts and even human skeletons.

Improved methods for the assay and activation of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1979
A simple and rapid mixed-phase method for the quantitative assay of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl (HMG)-CoA reductase and a procedure for the efficient reactivation of Mg-ATP-inactivated microsomal HMG-CoA reductase by potato acid phosphatase are described.
