GPS scintillations and total electron content climatology in the southern low, middle and high latitude regions

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 2013
In recent years, several groups have installed high-frequency sampling receivers in the southern middle and high latitude regions, to monitor ionospheric scintillations and the total electron content (TEC) changes.

Multifunctional Eutectic Mixtures Enable Integrated Recovery of U, Pu, and Sr From Nuclear Waste

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel class of multifunctional eutectic mixtures, crafted from crown ether and organophosphorus molecules, achieves highly efficient, simultaneous recovery of uranium, plutonium, and strontium from nuclear waste. The material operates via a dual “coordination‐encapsulation” mechanism within self‐assembled reverse‐micelle structures, offering a ...

SEASONAL VARIATIONS OF THE IONOSPHERE SCINTILLATIONS PARAMETERS OBTAINED FROM THE LONG OBSERVATIONS OF THE POWER COSMIC RADIO SOURCES AT THE DECAMETER WAVE RANGE

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2016
Observations of the four power cosmic radio sources were carried out on the radio telescope (RT) URAN-4 during 1987-1990 and 1998-2007 at the frequencies 20 and 25 MHz.

Scintillations And Microlensing [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1996
It is shown how the theory of scintillation may be applied to treat gravitational lensing. The theory is applied to microlensing by a system of N point masses. It is shown that scintillation theory reproduces a known result for the angular broadening due to multiple microlensing.

Structural and Compositional Effects on the Scintillation Properties of Fast Emitting Metal‐Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The crystalline structure, the atomic numbers of the constituent elementsand the size of MOF crystals each influence their photoluminescence and scintillation properties in distinct ways. Together, these factors provide valuable guidelines for designing systems with optimized performance and tunable timing characteristics, arising from the synergistic ...

Investigation Into the Electrochemical Performance of Micron‐ and Nanosized Tin in Diglyme and Carbonate Electrolytes in Sodium Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study compares Sn particles of different sizes in NIBs using carbonate‐ and diglyme‐based electrolytes. Diglyme electrolytes enable stable cycling despite large volume changes, while carbonate electrolytes degrade rapidly, especially with nanoparticles.

Statistical Analysis of the Occurrence of Ionospheric Scintillations at the Low-Latitude Sanya Station During 2004–2021

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The ionosphere of the Earth often becomes turbulent and develops electron density irregularities that can cause rapid and random changes in the amplitude and phase of radio signals, which is known as ionospheric scintillation.

The Role of Actual and Purported Origin in e‐Commerce Wine Pricing: Evidence From Italian and French Names on Labels

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The origin of a product, if associated with good quality, can contribute to building a positive collective reputation, leading to a potential price premium. However, it is conceivable that a producer markets a product by evoking symbols, images, words, and values typical of places other than where it was designed or produced, creating a ...

Prediction of Ionospheric Scintillation with ConvGRU Networks Using GNSS Ground-Based Data across South America

open access: yesRemote Sensing
This study investigates the relationship between geomagnetic activities and ionospheric scintillations, focusing on how solar and geomagnetic parameters influence ionospheric disturbances across varying time frames and latitudes.
