A Complete Mathematical Model For Trichoderma Fungi Kinetics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We develop an unstructured mathematical model describing the growth kinetics of the Trichoderma fungus and the production of enzymes (cellulase) by degradation of a substrate (cellulose) in the rhizosphere. We integrate into this model the hydrolysis step of the organic matter and analyze the asymptotic behaviour of the obtained system.

A Bayesian Approach to Restricted Latent Class Models for Scientifically-Structured Clustering of Multivariate Binary Outcomes [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this paper, we propose a general framework for combining evidence of varying quality to estimate underlying binary latent variables in the presence of restrictions imposed to respect the scientific context. The resulting algorithms cluster the multivariate binary data in a manner partly guided by prior knowledge.

A generalised spatial branching process with ancestral branching to model the growth of a filamentous fungus [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
In this work, we introduce a spatial branching process to model the growth of the mycelial network of a filamentous fungus. In this model, each filament is described by the position of its tip, the trajectory of which is solution to a stochastic differential equation with a drift term which depends on all the other trajectories.

Ectomycorrhizas in association with Pinus patula in Sabie, South Africa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Forestry is an economically important industry in South Africa, involving extensive exotic plantations of Eucalyptus, Pinus and Acacia species. These tree species have fungal associations, such as ectomycorrhizas, that have become locally naturalized. The

Tocopherols (vitamin E) production and profile of mycorrhizal fungi before and after in vitro elicitation by host plant roots [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Dupla diplomação com a Université Libre de TunisMycorrhizal fungi are symbiotic organisms that establish associations with the root system of plants. This special form of living implicates a recognizing process where chemical signals are involved, and ...

Effectiveness of mycorrhizal inoculation in the nursery on growth and water relations of Pinus radiata in different water regimes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We compared the performance of mycorrhiza-inoculated and non-inoculated radiata pine (Pinus radiata D. Don) seedlings in two field studies. In the first study, above ground growth of 2-year-old container-grown trees was compared after planting in two ...

Effect of Mancozeb 80% Concentrations on the Growth of Cenococcum Geophilum Fr. Under in Vitro Condition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Fungicides, such as Mancozeb 80% are used in nurseries to prevent the plant root against pathogenic fungi. These fungicides may have negative impacts on beneficial organisms such as ectomycorrhizal fungi.
