Lateral Meniscus Oblique Radial Tear All‐Inside Repair

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, Volume 15, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Lateral meniscus oblique radial tears, particularly high‐grade types 3 and 4, are common in acute anterior cruciate ligament injuries and contribute to significant knee instability and meniscal extrusion if left unrepaired. Surgical repair is necessary to restore normal knee kinematics and meniscal function.

Use of Human Habitat in an Extreme Desert by the Generalist Red Fox: Risk and Energy Considerations

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2026.
In the hyper‐arid southern Jordan Rift Valley, Red Foxes predominantly maintain territories in natural habitats but frequently visit human‐modified areas at night to access resources. The study reveals a significant behavioral trade‐off where foxes balance the benefits of human‐provided resources against the elevated energy expenditure and potential ...

Cinnamaldehyde From Cinnamon as a Food‐Derived Bioactive: Phytochemistry, Anticancer Mechanisms, Bioavailability, Nanoformulation and Safety

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 5, September 2026.
Cinnamaldehyde derived from Cinnamomum species exerts multitarget anticancer effects by promoting oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, apoptosis, cell‐cycle arrest, autophagy, and epigenetic changes, and by suppressing mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK), phosphoinositide 3‐kinase/protein kinase B/mechanistic target of rapamycin (PI3K/Akt ...

Extending Without Extensors: Morphofunctional Insights and Qualitative Experiments on Myriapod Legs

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 287, Issue 9, September 2026.
The distal joints of myriapods are hinge joints and therefore cannot be extended by intrinsic muscles. Using confocal laser scanning microscopy, µCT, semi‐thin sections, and experimental approaches, we investigated the morphology and extension mechanisms of myriapod legs.

Influence of Seasonality on Habitat use and Spatial Distribution Patterns of Tree‐Dwelling Scorpion (Physoctonus debilis) in Brazilian Caatinga

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Zoology, Volume 53, Issue 3, September 2026.
Habitat selection plays a crucial role in the survival of various animals, primarily due to their ability to identify suitable sites for development. In Caatinga regions, climate seasonality has a strong effect on vegetation, consequently influencing the occurrence and spatial distribution of diverse plant‐associated organisms.
