トカマクにおけるスクレイプ・オフ層プラズマのスケーリングをDIVAをもちいて得た。このスケーリングはスクレイプ・オフ層の平均電子温度、平均密度、厚さを与える。将来の大型のトカマクでは周辺部のプラズマの温度が高くなる。また、壁からの不純物の流入はスクレイプ・オフ層で防ぐことができる。燃料は容易にスクレイプ・オフ層をとおりぬけ、主プラズマに流入することができる。
