Testing scratch programs automatically
Proceedings of the 2019 27th ACM Joint Meeting on European Software Engineering Conference and Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering, 2019Block-based programming environments like Scratch foster engagement with computer programming and are used by millions of young learners. Scratch allows learners to quickly create entertaining programs and games, while eliminating syntactical program errors that could interfere with progress.

Scratch Test for Strength and Toughness of Oil Well Cement with Nanoclay as an Additive
Day 2 Tue, November 12, 2019, 2019The mechanical properties are determined to measure the sustainability and long-lasting behavior of cement slurry under wellbore conditions. Different measurement methods were adopted in the past to study the mechanical behavior of a cement slurry. The

Tribological characterization of jaspilite by linear scratch test
Wear, 2019Rotary drilling is usually done with diamond-impregnated drill bits. These tools may present an unsatisfactory lifespan when working on a banded iron formation of Carajas Mineral Province, Brazil, known as jaspilite, a complex material composed of ...

Abstract Downhole oil well piping has the potential to scrape against a myriad of objects, from geological debris to drilling components such as detached tools or the edges of machined, casing-exit penetrations. This project quantified the type and extent of damage that occurs on tubing when scratched with very high normal forces similar to those ...

For a number of polymers with a variety of chemical structures and different properties, we have performed scratch-resistance tests and investigated the profiles of the grooves formed using a profilometer. Three main kinds of material response are seen: plowing; cutting; and densification. The cross-sectional areas of the grooves include the groove and

The scratch test for determining the susceptibility of a person to diphtheria differs from the well known Schick test 1 in that the method is not intracutaneous but cutaneous. The test is therefore performed and read in the same manner as the Pirquet test for tuberculosis, 2 except, of course, that diphtheria toxin instead of tuberculin is used.

The Reliability of the “Scratch Test”
Journal of Hand Surgery (European Volume), 2008The “Scratch Test” uses a sharp scalpel to scrape areas of suspected tendinosis in the management of lateral and medial epicondylitis. As claimed in the literature, this tissue is friable and peels off, whereas normal tendon does not. The purpose of this study was to determine whether, or not, the “Scratch Test” is able to differentiate between ...
