Endemic but not eroded: Genomic distinctiveness and conservation genomics of the British swallowtail butterfly (Papilio machaon britannicus)

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Through whole‐genome sequencing of P. machaon populations across Europe, we demonstrate that P. m. britannicus forms a genetically distinct and isolated lineage. Demographic modelling revealed weak historical gene flow from the continent. Although P. m.

Clinicopathological findings, correlations and outcomes in patients with renal disease and living with antiretroviral‐treated human immunodeficiency virus infection

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Aims Antiretroviral therapy (ART) has modified the incidence of renal complications and the patterns of renal disease in people living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (PLWH). We reviewed (2011–2021) the progress and outcomes (follow‐up to mid‐2025) of 158 such individuals.

A bristle‐nosed Jurassic ray‐finned fish (Actinopterygii) bears true dermal odontodes on its snout

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Teeth show extreme diversity, including tooth‐like dermal odontodes or “skin teeth” in many extant fishes. We describe the anatomy of enlarged tubercles on the snout of Redfieldius, an extinct early Jurassic fish. We found that the tubercles in Redfieldius are dermal odontodes that evolved independently from those of living species. Abstract Comparison

Geospatial estimation of soil moisture in rain-fed paddy fields using SCS-CN-based model

open access: yes
Paddy fields are characterized by standing water and saturation condition during the entire crop growth period. However, in sub-humid and semi-arid areas, scarce rainfall and intermittent dry spells often cause soil moisture depletion resulting in ...

SCS-Curve number in tropics: a review

open access: yes, 2017
Rainfall-runoff information is critical for water resource and river basin management. Runoff can be estimated by using two methodsgauged method (direct measurement) and ungauged method (indirect formula and equation).

The MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) rhesus macaque postnatal brain histology datasets: Enabling new discoveries through NHP tissue and digital data Repositories

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
The MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) postnatal rhesus macaque brain histology datasets are organized into Collections that promote cost‐effective de novo research. This article provides examples from Collections 5, 6, and 7 and describes the histo‐ and immunohistochemical (IHC) processing of materials for Collection 6.

An improved API-SCS-CN model based on flood classification and enhanced runoff-routing mechanisms

open access: yesRenmin Zhujiang
Small and medium-sized mountainous watersheds in humid regions are prone to flash floods characterized by rapid flow concentration and severe responses to rainstorms.
