A Modified LAPSUS Model to Enhance the Effective Rainfall Estimation by SCS-CN Method
Water Resources Management, 2018In this study, LAPSUS model is modified to enhance the effective rainfall estimation by SCS curve number method. The LAPSUS model calculates discharge based on effective rainfall and routs it towards lower neighbouring grid cells following the multiple flow direction principle.

Validity and extension of the SCS‐CN method for computing infiltration and rainfall‐excess rates
Hydrological Processes, 2004AbstractA criterion is developed for determining the validity of the Soil Conservation Service curve number (SCS‐CN) method. According to this criterion, the existing SCS‐CN method is found to be applicable when the potential maximum retention, S, is less than or equal to twice the total rainfall amount.

Influence of coarse soils with high hydraulic conductivity on the applicability of the SCS-CN method
Hydrological Sciences Journal, 2016ABSTRACTThe impact of the existence of coarse soils with high hydraulic conductivity on the applicability of the Soil Conservation Service curve number (SCS-CN) method is investigated in a heterogeneous catchment in the Zagros mountain region, southwest Iran.

Runoff Estimation by Using the (SCS-CN) Method with GIS and RS for Wadi Shuieb Watershed
Journal of the Faculties of Arts, 2019The goal of this study is to estimate surface runoff using (SCS-CN) and Geographic Information System and remote sensing (GIS &RS) in Wadi Shuieb Basin which is located within the dry region in central Jordan. The maps of the hydrological soils and land use / land cover were used within the GIS environment toolbox to produce table and map of the ...
