SCS-CN Method. Part II: Analytical Treatment

open access: yes, 2003
This part of the paper, a sequel to Part I, in continuation of the analytical treatment of the Soil Conservation Service curve number (SCS-CN) method, further explores the SCS-CN method for: (a) its functional behaviour, (b) the physical interpretation ...

Regional Calibration of SCS-CN L-THIA Model: Application for Ungauged Basins

open access: yes, 2014
Estimating surface runoff for ungauged watershed is an important issue. The Soil Conservation Service Curve Number (SCS-CN) method developed from long-term experimental data is widely used to estimate surface runoff from gaged or ungauged watersheds ...

Universal Oxychlorination Strategy in Halide Solid Electrolytes for All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A WO2Cl2‐driven oxychlorination strategy enables bulk oxygen incorporation into close‐packed LixMCl6 (M = Zr, Y, Er, In) halide lattices. Oxygen is selectively anchored by W6+ as lattice‐integrated [WO2Cl4]2− units, regulating the anionic framework, diversifying Li coordination, and weakening Li–Cl interactions.

Coupling Modified Linear Spectral Mixture Analysis and Soil Conservation Service Curve Number (SCS-CN) Models to Simulate Surface Runoff: Application to the Main Urban Area of Guangzhou, China

open access: yes, 2016
Land surface characteristics, including soil type, terrain slope, and antecedent soil moisture, have significant impacts on surface runoff during heavy precipitation in highly urbanized areas.

Assessing the Impact of Modified Initial Abstraction Ratios and Slope Adjusted Curve Number on Runoff Prediction in the Watersheds of Sulaimani Province.

open access: yesKurdistan Journal of Applied Research
A popular way for describing the link between storm rainfall depth and direct runoff is the curve number (CN) method. It is a straightforward approach that has been extensively studied and widely adopted. However, there has been less focus on the impact

Molecular Design Strategies for High‐Voltage Organic Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work proposes molecular engineering strategies for high‐voltage organic cathode materials for Li‐ion batteries: (1) increase Li‐O coordination number (CN), (2) achieve a greater increase in aromaticity upon reduction (∆Aromaticity), and (3) add an electron‐withdrawing group (EWG), through a combined experimental and computational study on reported

ESTIMATION OF SURFACE RUNOFF IN NALLUR AMANIKERE WATERSHED USING SCS-CN METHOD

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Engineering and Technology, 2013
The development of watershed aims at productive uti lization of all the available natural resources in the entire area extending from ridge line to stream outlet. The per capita availab ility of land for cultivation has been decreasing o ver the years.

Distinct Neuropsychiatric Profiles Associated With 17p11.2 Deletions and RAI1 Variants in Smith–Magenis Syndrome

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Smith–Magenis syndrome (SMS) results from either a recurrent 17p11.2 deletion or pathogenic variants in the retinoic acid induced 1 gene (RAI1). While neurodevelopmental impairment and behavioral dysregulation are well recognized, systematic genotype‐stratified analyses across psychiatric domains remain limited.
