Dietary cholesterol requirement of juvenile mud crab Scylla serrata

Abstract The effect of dietary cholesterol on growth, molting frequency and survival of juvenile mud crab, Scylla serrata was investigated using semi-purified diets. Six isoenergetic and isonitrogenous diets containing 0.04%, 0.21%, 0.50%, 0.79%, 1.12% and 1.44% supplemental cholesterol were evaluated.

ศึกษาการเลือกแหล่งอาศัยและอาหารของปูทะเล บริเวณป่าชายเลนคลองหงาว จังหวัดระนอง โดยการสุ่มจับปูทะเลที่อาศัยในป่าชายเลนธรรมชาติและป่าชายเลนปลูกทดแทนอายุต่างกันทุกเดือน ระหว่างเดือนสิงหาคม 2537 ถึงเดือนกรกฎาคม 2538 พบว่าปริมาณปูทะเลในป่าธรรมชาติและป่าชายเลนปลูกทดแทนอายุ 8 ปี มีค่าใกล้เคียงกันสำหรับองค์ประกอบหลักในกระเพาะอาหารของปูทะเลที่ศึกษาโดยวิธี points
