The career resources model: An integrative framework for career counsellors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Changes in the nature of work and organizations have led to an increased need for self-directed career management (SDCM). However, there is no consensus in the literature of what constitutes SDCM and many related concepts have been proposed.

Advanced Mounting Technique for Improved Imaging and Analysis of Embedded Spheroids and Migrating Cells in Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 8, 17 April 2026.
A novel sample holder compatible with the Zeiss Lightsheet 7 microscope improves imaging of spheroids embedded in collagen matrices. By enabling dual‐sided illumination, it enhances image quality and quantitative analysis of migrating cells. This method advances 3D light sheet microscopy for studying tumor invasion and therapeutic responses.

Differences between familial and sporadic dilated cardiomyopathy: ESC EORP Cardiomyopathy & Myocarditis registry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Aims: Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a complex disease where genetics interplay with extrinsic factors. This study aims to compare the phenotype, management, and outcome of familial DCM (FDCM) and non‐familial (sporadic) DCM (SDCM) across Europe ...

Free‐Space Time‐Bin Encoded Quantum Key Distribution from Near‐ to Mid‐Infrared Wavelengths

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
This work investigates free‐space communication based on quantum key distribution (QKD) in the mid‐infrared. Time‐bin encoded QKD is simulated, and it is demonstrated that a free‐space QKD link operating in the mid‐infrared outperforms configurations based on conventional near‐infrared wavelengths under various weather scenarios, with a particular ...

An electrophysiological validation of stochastic DCM for fMRI

open access: yesFrontiers in Computational Neuroscience, 2013
In this note, we assess the predictive validity of stochastic dynamic causal modelling (sDCM) of fMRI data, in terms of its ability to explain changes in the frequency spectrum of concurrently acquired EEG signal.

Numerical Simulations and Full Scale Behavior of SDCM and DCM Piles on Soft Bangkok Clay

open access: yesSoils and Rocks, 2011
A new kind of reinforced Deep Cement Mixing (DCM) pile, namely: Stiffened Deep Cement Mixing (SDCM) pile is introduced to mitigate the problems due to the low flexural resistance, lack of quality control in the field and unexpected failure of DCM pile. The SDCM pile consists of DCM pile reinforced with precast concrete core pile.

Addressing Suicide Risk in Counseling: The Role of Social Determinants of Health in a National Sample of Young Adults

open access: yesJournal of Counseling &Development, Volume 104, Issue 1, Page 3-13, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Suicide remains a leading cause of death among young adults, including those in mental health treatment. This study examined how social determinants of health (SDOH) influence suicidal ideation, planning, and attempts among 3,690 young adults (ages 18 to 25 years) who received mental health services in the past year.
