SDS-PAGE analysis of complement factors (cFactors) treated with PG0352.
For this experiment, individual complement factors were treated with wild-type PG0352 or inactive PG0352 (PG0352AAAA) for 60 minutes and then subjected to 10% SDS-PAGE followed by Coomassie blue staining. FH: factor H; FI: factor I. (TIFF)

ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

SDS-PAGE analysis of the purified IgM and IgY.
The IgM and IgY containing fractions were concentrated using a 100 kDa cut off centrifugal filter (Millipore), and the protein composition determined by SDS-PAGE. The left panel shows proteins separated and visualised using Coomassie staining on a 5% SDS-
