Ovarian Function Restoration with Biomimetic Scaffold Incorporating Angiogenic Molecules and Antioxidant in Chemotherapy‐Induced Perimenopausal Model

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study developed a biomimetic scaffold incorporating PDRN and melatonin to restore ovarian function in chemotherapy‐induced premature ovarian insufficiency, enhancing cell survival, folliculogenesis, and hormone normalization, while improving fertility rates and offspring in a mouse model, offering a promising strategy for ovarian function ...

Characterization of sea ice kinematics over oceanic eddies [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Eddies within the meso/submeso-scale range are prevalent throughout the Arctic Ocean, playing a pivotal role in regulating freshwater budget, heat transfer, and sea ice transport. While observations have suggested a strong connection between the dynamics of sea ice and the underlying turbulent flows, quantifying this relationship remains an ambitious ...

Assimilating Summer Sea‐Ice Thickness Observations Improves Arctic Sea‐Ice Forecast

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
AbstractAccurate Arctic sea‐ice forecasting for the melt season is still a major challenge because of the lack of reliable pan‐Arctic summer sea‐ice thickness (SIT) data. A new summer CryoSat‐2 SIT observation data set based on an artificial intelligence algorithm may alleviate this situation.

3D Microtumors Representing Ovarian Cancer Minimal Residual Disease Respond to the Fatty Acid Oxidation Inhibitor Perhexiline

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Minimal residual disease (MRD) leads to cancer relapse and poor survival in ovarian cancer. The lack of representative 3D models limits therapy development. The microfluidics‐based high throughput 3D microtumor platform described here generates clinically‐relevant MRD models. The 3D microtumors recapitulate the molecular signatures of MRD from patients.

Ischemic Myocardium Targeting Peptide‐Guided Nanobubbles for Multimodal Imaging and Treatment of Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Nanobubbles functionalized with indocyanine green and ischemic myocardium‐targeting peptide effectively target cardiomyocytes and enable the multimodal (fluorescence, ultrasonic, and photoacoustic) imaging of ischemic myocardium in mice with coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD).

TPMS‐Gyroid Scaffold‐Mediated Up‐Regulation of ITGB1 for Enhanced Cell Adhesion and Immune‐Modulatory Osteogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A) SLM generates biomimetic bone scaffolds with consistent porosity but varying TPMS‐Gyroid unit cell designs (TG15, TG20, TG25, TG30). B) By enhancing the expression of ITGB1, TPMS‐Gyroid scaffolds can facilitate osteogenic differentiation in BMSCs and promote M2 polarization in macrophages.

Scalable Higher Resolution Polar Sea Ice Classification and Freeboard Calculation from ICESat-2 ATL03 Data [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
ICESat-2 (IS2) by NASA is an Earth-observing satellite that measures high-resolution surface elevation. The IS2's ATL07 and ATL10 sea ice elevation and freeboard products of 10m-200m segments which aggregated 150 signal photons from the raw ATL03 (geolocated photon) data.
