Regional spatial planning assessments for adaptation to accelerated sea level rise - an application to Martinique’s coastal zone [PDF]
Accelerated sea level rise and hurricanes are increasingly influencing human coastal activities. With respect to the projected continuation of accelerated sea level rise and global warming one must count with additional expenses for adaptation strategies

Analysis of Abnormal Sea Level Rise in Offshore Waters of Bohai Sea in 2024
The primary contribution of this study lies in analyzing the dynamic drivers during two anomalous sea level rise events in the Bohai Sea through coupled numeric modeling using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model and the Finite-Volume ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Chapter 12: Sea Level Rise [PDF]
Global mean sea level (GMSL) has risen by about 7-8 inches (about 16-21 cm) since 1900, with about 3 of those inches (about 7 cm) occurring since 1993. Human-caused climate change has made a substantial contribution to GMSL rise since 1900, contributing ...

Understanding Full‐Depth Steric Sea Level Change in the Southwest Pacific Basin Using Deep Argo
Using 9 years of full‐depth profiles from 55 Deep Argo floats in the Southwest Pacific Basin collected between 2014 and 2023, we find consistent warm anomalies compared to a long‐term climatology below 2,000 m ranging between 11 ± 2 to 34 ± 2 m°C, most ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Geological considerations on the effect of sea-level rise on coastal lowlands, in particular in developing countries = Geologische bedenkingen betreffende de invloed van de zeespiegelstijging in lage kustgebieden, in het bijzonder in ontwikkelingslanden [PDF]
The coastal lowlands of developing countries in particular are among the most densely populated and economically productive. Therefore, it is essential to get a realistic appraisal of the likely response of these areas to the predicted sea-level rise due

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...
