TROPHODYNAMICS OF MARINE ORGANISMS IN THE EPIPELAGIC LAYER OF THE OKHOTSK SEA IN 2000S

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО, 2019
New data on matter and energy transfer between major components of the Okhotsk Sea ecosystem are obtained on the base of trophodynamic modeling, taking into consideration their production and food consumption rates.

A Measurement of Sea Ice Albedo over the Southwestern Okhotsk Sea

open access: yesJournal of the Meteorological Society of Japan. Ser. II, 1999
In order to estimate sea ice albedo around the marginal sea ice zone of the southwestern Okhotsk Sea, we conducted the measurement of albedo aboard the ice breaker Soya in early February of 1996 and 1997. Using upward and downward looking pyranometers mounted at the bow of the ship, we obtained albedo data.

Carotenoids of Sea Angels Clione limacina and Paedoclione doliiformis from the Perspective of the Food Chain

open access: yesMarine Drugs, 2014

ASTHENOSPHERE OF THE OKHOTSK SEA AND ADJACENT AREAS

open access: yesJournal of Physics of the Earth, 1988
Asthenosphere is regarded as a layer of partial melting, physical properties of which differ from those of the matter lying above and under it. As various physical properties react differently to one and the same percentage of the magmatic melt (some of them change by the first tens of percent, the others by some orders), we consider specifically ...

In-situ ice and meteorological observations in the southern Sea of Okhotsk in 2001 winter: ice structure, snow on ice, surface temperature, and optical environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The 2001-ice season in the Sea of Okhotsk was characterized by extraordinarily developed ice extent. During the period February 17 to 21, we conducted in-situ observations in the southern ice area with the icebreaker \u27Soya\u27.

Age- and length-at-maturity of female arrowtooth flounder (Atheresthes stomias) in the Gulf of Alaska [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Arrowtooth flounder (Atheresthes stomias) has had the highest abundance of any groundfish species in the Gulf of Alaska since the 1970s (Matarese et al., 2003; Turnock et al., 2005; Blood et al., 2007); however, commercial catches have been restricted ...
