New organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts from recent sediments of central Asian seas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Recent to sub-recent sediments from the Caspian Sea, the Kara-Bogaz-Gol Bay, the Enseli lake and the Aral Sea contain the new organic-walled dinoflagellate cysts Caspidinium, Caspidinium rugosum and Impagidinium caspienense.

Global Mean Sea Surface Height Estimated from Spaceborne Cyclone-GNSS Reflectometry

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
Mean sea surface height (MSSH) is an important parameter, which plays an important role in the analysis of the geoid gap and the prediction of ocean dynamics.

A comparison of coincidental time series of the ocean surface height by satellite altimeter, mooring, and inverted echo sounder [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Altimetric measurements of sea surface height at two locations in the western tropical Pacific Ocean are compared to estimates of the dynamic sea surface height computed from cotemporal surface-to-bottom temperature/salinity measurements on moorings and ...

Prolonged Corrected QT Interval as an Early Electrocardiographic Marker of Cyclophosphamide‐Induced Cardiotoxicity in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Patients

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cyclophosphamide (CY) is associated with potentially fatal cardiotoxicity, yet no electrocardiographic indices have been established for early detection of CY‐induced cardiomyopathy. This study aimed to determine whether corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation can predict early onset of CY‐related cardiac dysfunction in pediatric ...

Rain and ice flagging of Envisat altimeter and MWR data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Altimetry range, wave height, and wind speed measurements are often corrupted by two effects over the ocean: rain and sea-ice. Radiometer measurements, which provide the altimetric wet troposphere correction, are similarly corrupted by the presence of ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Impacts of Extreme Weather on Sea Surface Temperature in the Western Waters of Sumatera and the Southern Waters of Java in June 2016

open access: yesForum Geografi, 2017
Ocean dynamics is affected by atmospheric conditions. Surface wind is one of atmospheric variables that has an important role in the ocean dynamics.

Response of Pacific-sector Antarctic ice shelves to the El Niño/Southern Oscillation. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Satellite observations over the past two decades have revealed increasing loss of grounded ice in West Antarctica, associated with floating ice shelves that have been thinning.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
