Interannual variability of sea surface height anomaly in the South China Sea
Abstract Spatial variability of Sea Surface Height Anomaly (herein after SSHA) in the South China Sea was investigated through the response of sea surface to interannual phenomenon. In this research, satellite altimetry data were used which covered periods from 1992 to 2015. Signal analysis was performed to separate dominant spectrum for

Optimization of the Production of Rubber Compounds Using Mathematical Models
Rubber compounds were mixed in a batch internal mixer, and symbolic regression was used to derive mathematical models linking recipe and process parameters to ram path, torque, and mixing quality (incorporation, dispersion, distribution). Subsequent optimization with evolutionary algorithms identified operating conditions that reduce specific energy ...

Slope Correction for Ocean SAR Altimetry
Since the 2010 launch of Cryosat‐2, a new generation of altimeters, referred to as SAR altimetry, has emerged and partially replaced the previous conventional altimeters known as Low Resolution Mode (LRM) altimetry.

Neural network approaches for sea surface height predictability using sea surface temperature
Abstract Sea Surface Height Anomaly (SLA) is a signature of the mesoscale dynamics of the upper ocean. Sea surface temperature (SST) is driven by these dynamics and can be used to improve the spatial interpolation of SLA fields. In this study, we focused on the temporal evolution of SLA fields.

Symmetry‐Guided Multifunctional Acoustic System Based on Mechanically Actuated Sonic Crystals
This study presents the design, simulation, and experimental validation of amultifunctional acoustic metamaterial based on rotationally engineered sonic crystals.By tuning cylinder orientations, controllable band gaps and six distinct functionalities—including switching, topological insulation, beam splitting, and logic operations—areachieved ...

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

This study applies machine learning regression to predict chromium layer thickness in decorative trivalent chromium electroplating, using 441 experiments from laboratory‐scale (1L) and pilot‐scale (14L) setups. Tree‐based models, particularly CatBoost, outperformed linear regression by capturing nonlinear parameter interactions (R2$R^2$ up to 0.77 ...
