Data‐Independent Acquisition Mass Spectrometry in Tumor Classification and Cancer Biomarker Research
Abstract Cancer treatment is far from optimal also because current classification systems do not reflect the complex molecular status of the tumor and its phenotype in sufficient detail. To construct molecular tumor classifiers, omics tools provide complex molecular data reflecting many aspects from genotype to phenotype.

On the Approximation of Precision Matrices for Wide-Swath Altimetry
New observations of ocean surface topography obtained by wide-swath satellite interferometry require new capabilities to process spatially correlated errors in order to assimilate these data into numerical models.

Mass Spectrometry‐Based Extracellular Vesicle Proteomics for Biomarker Discovery
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicle (EV) proteomics has emerged as a powerful platform for decoding intercellular communication and advancing biomarker discovery across human diseases. EVs carry proteins that reflect their cells of origin, offering a minimally invasive window into physiological and pathological processes.

Estimating Seafloor Topography of the South China Sea Using SWOT Wide-Swath Altimetry Data
The surface water and ocean topography (SWOT) wide-swath altimetry satellite was launched in December 2022. The performance of novel wide-swath altimetry in seafloor topography modeling needs to be evaluated. This study utilized 15 cycles of SWOT Level-3 product to construct seafloor topography model of the South China Sea by linear regression analysis.

Understanding the scales and mechanisms by which species composition interacts with ecosystem functions is critical for forecasting the effects of environmental perturbations on ecosystem services. However, the linkages between what regulates the ecosystem functions of dispersal‐capable networks of communities (metacommunities) and what regulates a ...

Measurement of Wind Waves and Wave-Coherent Air Pressures on the Open Sea from a Moving SWATH Vessel
Abstract The design and implementation on a Small Waterline Area Twin Hull (SWATH) vessel of a complete system for measuring the directional distribution of wind waves and the concomitant fluctuations of air pressure and wind speed immediately above them are described.

Nonstationarity in wildlife disease dynamics: insights from the prairie dog–plague system
Ecological relationships often vary in strength and direction across ecosystems, a pattern that has become increasingly evident as ecology expands to broader spatial and temporal scales. Although such nonstationarity – the changing effect of predictor variables across spatiotemporal contexts – is widely acknowledged in ecological research, it has ...

Abstract Alongside the rise of the evidence‐based conservation movement over the past 20 years, environmental education (EE) has emerged as a worthwhile strategy to achieve conservation goals. EE can help develop the societal attitudes, knowledge, skills, behaviours and norms that address conservation and environmental challenges and build deeper ...
