Spatially resolved mapping of histones reveals selective neuronal response in Rett syndrome
Loss of Mecp2 function is associated with Rett syndrome (RTT). MeCP2 regulates chromatin, yet its influence on histone composition and dynamics is unclear. Combining MALDI‐MSI with LCM–LC–MS/MS, we mapped histone proteoforms across the dentate gyrus, cornu ammonis, and cerebellum in two mouse models of RTT.

1981 was not a great year for sea trout landings. Rods which account for a large proportion of the total catch took fish of lower mean weight than in 1980 and various estimates suggest that fewer sea trout were caught in 1981. Numbers of "specimen" sea trout however were high and they are expected to remain so in 1982 after which it is thought they ...

The genes PH0137, PH0138, and PH0140 form a cluster in the genome of Pyrococcus horikoshii. The PH0140 gene encodes a transcription factor identified as a d‐amino acid‐responsive regulatory protein (DARP). In feast mode, l‐Ile‐bound DARP binds to the promoter and represses transcription of PH0137 and PH0138. In famine mode, DARP binds to d‐allo‐Ile and

Climatic conditions favourable to sea trout production continued their decline in 1984 and the indicators are now at their lowest since records commenced in 1948. The exodus of juvenile trout was poor and the age composition of landings in the Waterville fishery suggests finnock were not well represented in the summer catches.

Caffeic acid is a central metabolite in the fungal bioluminescence pathway. We identified and characterized caffeylpyruvate hydrolase from Neonothopanus gardneri (ngarCPH) and demonstrate its ability to hydrolyze fungal oxyluciferin into caffeic and pyruvic acids, confirming a complete and self‐sustained fungal bioluminescence cycle.

The wet year of 1985 yielded good catches to the rod and to commercial engines. Salmon were taken in reasonable numbers in the drift nets although only small numbers of sea trout were captured by this method. The wet angling season is thought to have provided productive fishing conditions contributing largely to a 22% increase over the previous year's ...

Circadian disruption via constant light induces sex‐specific remodeling of the microbiome, lipid mediators, and immune responses. Females exhibit broader gut microbiota alterations, reduced jejunal oxylipins, increased hypothalamic N‐acylethanolamines, and a more inflammatory cytokine profile. Muscle responses are sex‐ and fiber type‐dependent: females

The sorting nexin Snx21 promotes flotillin‐mediated endocytosis
In this study, we describe a novel function of the previously uncharacterized Snx21 protein as a specific positive regulator of flotillin‐mediated endocytic trafficking. Snx21 is recruited to endosomal membranes via binding to PI(3)P, and it colocalizes with flotillins on the surface of late endosomes.

The large juvenile trout exodus from fresh water to the sea which occurred in 1981 was not repeated in 1982. Climatic indicators suggest alternately good and poor years in the output of juvenile fish with a reduced recruitment to the fishery in the immediate future. The mean smolt age is likely to rise and the consequences of this will most likely be a

ABSTRACT The global decline in salmonid stocks has increased the need for knowledge of local adaptations and life history strategies of salmonids. In this study, we used radio‐telemetry tracking data from sea trout populations in two large high‐latitude rivers to model upstream spawning migration speed of trout in response to prevailing environmental ...
