Influence of Beam Profile and Fiber‐to‐Device Separation on Segmented GaAs Photovoltaic Power Converters

Beam shaping in segmented GaAs photovoltaic power converters is investigated using quasi‐Gaussian and annular illumination profiles from a double‐clad fiber. The findings show that beam profile and fiber‐to‐device separation govern voltage, fill factor (FF), and conversion efficiency.
