Selective Laser Sintering and Graphitization for Mono‐Matrix Unibody Fabrication of Integrated Stereo‐Circuit and Stereo‐Fluidic Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A novel selective laser sintering and graphitization (SLSG) 3D printing technology enables unibody fabrication of compacted insulating structures and conductive circuits in fluidic‐integrated wearable electronics through adaptive photonic modulation.

Mutagenicity of endodontic sealers

Biomaterials, 1985
Four endodontic sealer materials and some of their chemical constituents were subjected to Ames' test for mutagenicity with the Salmonella/microsome assay. Extracts of two zinc oxide-eugenol based materials and of one gutta-percha-zinc oxide-chloroform based sealer were negative in the test.

Sealer Distribution in Coronal Dentin

Journal of Endodontics, 2002
A major cause of tooth discoloration is sealer remnants in the pulp chamber after root canal treatment. The purpose of this study was to assess coronal distribution and color changes of four commonly used sealers placed in the pulp chamber after 2 yr. Fifty extracted premolars were cross-sectioned in the coronal third of the root.

Dimensional changes of endodontic sealers

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1993
The purpose of this study was a long-term comparison of the dimensional changes of endodontic sealers of diverse properties. The sealers were injected as thin layers on the internal walls of glass pipettes 1 mm in diameter. The pipettes were filled with deionized water, and the water meniscus levels were recorded periodically up to 180 days.

The rheologic properties of endodontic sealers

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1978
The rheologic properties of seven endodontic sealers were investigated with a rotational viscometer. The effects of time and rate of shear on the measured viscosities were determined. Results indicated that one material exhibited Newtonian behavior, whereas the others were characterized by pseudoplasticity.

Properties of Tricalcium Silicate Sealers

Journal of Endodontics, 2016
Sealers based on tricalcium silicate cement aim at an interaction of the sealer with the root canal wall, alkalinity with potential antimicrobial activity, and the ability to set in a wet field. The aim of this study was to characterize and investigate the properties of a new tricalcium silicate-based sealer and verify its compliance to ISO 6876 (2012).

Radiopacity of root canal sealers

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1981
A standardized and reproducible method of radiopacity measurements of dental materials is presented. The method entails densitometric comparison of standard-sized specimens with an aluminum step wedge under controlled conditions for exposure and film processing. Methodologic aspects have been evaluated and discussed.

The properties of endodontic sealer cements

Journal of Endodontics, 1988
Two new Ca(OH) 2 -based sealer cements, CRCS and Sealapex, were compared with Procosol cement for compressive strength, setting time, solubility, dimensional stability, and radiopacity. CRCS set within 3 days in both a dry and a humid environment and Procosol required more than 2 wk to set in 100% rH.
