sealers

open access: yes, 1975
sealer 1 nFrom 1906 to 1914 Newfoundland had the finest fleet of Sealers and Ice-Breakers in the World. These powerful iron clads set such a pace for the wooden steamers, that they could not possibly keep up.PRINTED ITEM DNE-citG.M.Story JUN ...

Microscale Patterning of Ultrahigh‐Viscosity Metallic‐Polymer Composites via Embedded Droplet Writing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hybrid additive manufacturing platform integrates direct droplet writing of metallic composite with VAT photopolymerization to fabricate architected soft magnetic composites. This approach enables microscale patterning of high‐viscosity materials for programmable actuators, adaptive fluidic devices, and switchable adhesives, offering tunable ...

sealers

open access: yes, 1973
sealer 1 nBut to pay the sealers, or the same men as cod-fishers, regular wages, would at present be impracticable, and would doubtless be a losing speculation, as they would not have the same interest to work; ..PRINTED ITEM DNE-citG.M.Story ...

CO2‐to‐CO Conversion in a Gas‐Fed, Zero‐Gap, PEM Electrolyzer Enabled by Polycations and Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon‐Supported Cobalt Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gas‐fed, zero‐gap, PEM CO2 electrolyzer is realized by incorporating PDDA+ ions onto the carbonaceous Co/N‐C electrocatalyst, with gaseous H2 and CO2 fed into the anode and cathode, respectively. Operating without an aqueous electrolyte, the system sustains a peak FECO of 65.1% at 100 mA cm−2. ABSTRACT Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (ECO2R)

sealers

open access: yes, 1971
sealer 1 nThe season/[1862] was stated, in St.John's, to be the severest since 1831, and no less than 50 sail of the Colony's sealers and fishermen were lost in the ice.PRINTED ITEM DNE-citDNE-cit G.M.Story JAN 1971JH JAN 1971Used IUsed ...

An Integrated Oxygen‐Supplying Device and Predictive Multiphysics Model for Extended Ambient Transport of Insulin‐Producing Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cell therapies typically rely on cold‐chain logistics and cryopreservation, limiting access and compromising cell quality. Here, a dual‐chamber device separates an oxygen‐supplying chamber from a hyaluronic acid cargo chamber, sustaining oxygen delivery for over 70 h and enabling ambient‐temperature shipment.

Embedded Direct Ink Writing of Thermoset and Elastomeric Polymers via Frontal Polymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Embedded frontal polymerization direct ink writing (FP‐DIW) combines frontal ring‐opening metathesis polymerization with embedded 3D printing to decouple deposition from curing. A yield‐stress support bath stabilizes low‐viscosity inks, while on‐demand thermal initiation enables controlled front propagation. This approach expands the accessible feature

Hydrogel‐Based 3D‐Printed Anthropomorphic Breast Phantom for Emulating Mechanical and Dielectric Properties of Mammary Tissue. Applications in Microwave Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printable breast phantom is developed using patient‐derived MRI data and hydrogels that replicate the dielectric properties of healthy and cancerous tissues. Mechanical and dielectric characterization confirm its suitability for microwave imaging.
