Bias‐Free Highly Efficient and Stable Dye‐Sensitized Photoelectrochemical Cells via Cascade Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A buried‐junction DSPEC design is introduced that leverages cascade charge transfer to enhance efficiency, stability, and versatility. This approach facilitates effective charge transfer and minimizes recombination losses, leading to significant improvements.

Rendering Fine Tactile Feedback With a Novel Hydraulic Actuation Method for Wearable Haptic Devices

open access: yesIEEE Access
Tiny contact transients prove very informative for dexterous, fine manipulation, both in virtual environments and teleoperation. Yet, it is challenging to obtain such quality of the rendering in compact and highly wearable haptic devices.

Magnetotelluric signatures of the complex tertiary fold–thrust belt and extensional fault architecture beneath Brøggerhalvøya, Svalbard

open access: yesPolar Research, 2017
Magnetotelluric (MT) data were recently collected on Brøggerhalvøya, Svalbard, in a 0.003–1000 s period range along a curved WNW–ESE profile. The collected data manifested strong three-dimensional (3D) effects.

Sealing pots in Upper Mesopotamia in the late third millennium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Although the practice of sealing is well attested in Mesopotamia due to the numerous finds of cylinder-seals, clay sealings and bullae, when considering sealing impressions on pots the scope of this study dwindles remarkably.

Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.
