Simulation Analysis of Micro Coils for the Fabrication of Micro-scaled Search Coil Magnetometer [PDF]
Magnetic field detection has been widely accepted in many applications such as military systems, outer space exploration and even in medical diagnosis and treatment. Low magnetic field detection is particularly important in tracking of magnetic markers in digestive tracks or blood vessels.

The Search-Coil Magnetometer onboard the ESA JUICE mission [PDF]
<p>The JUpiter ICy moons Explorer (JUICE) mission is the first large-class (L1) mission in ESA Cosmic Vision. JUICE is planned for launch in 2022 with arrival at Jupiter in 2029 and will spend at least four years making detailed observations of Jupiter&#8217;s magnetosphere and of three of its largest moons (Ganymede ...

Noise calculation and analysis of a search coil magnetometer
2010 International Conference on Computer Application and System Modeling (ICCASM 2010), 2010For expertise on detecting very weak signal, search coil magnetometer is widely used in Magnetotellurics (MT). Unfortunately, noise is a primary factor affecting the sensitivity. In this work, noise model of the magnetometer is presented based on measured parameters, where transfer function affected by core eddy current loss is considered.

Increasing the Sensitivity of Search Coil Magnetometer by Capacitive Compensation
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2016This letter proposes a compensation method that aims to increase the sensitivity of search coil magnetometers. The method is based on internal capacitive compensation of the magnetic devices, which enables to increase the device resonance frequency, without reducing the number of turns. The method is verified theoretically and tested experimentally.

Improvements on the Design of Search Coil Magnetometer for Space Experiments
Sensor Letters, 2007Search coils despite of their bulk, are still used on space experiments thanks to their ability to measure weak magnetic fields and also to their robustness. This paper will focus on the search coil modeling and design. We propose an original shape of the magnetic core allowing an improvement of their performances.
