Seasonal Variations in Dietary Flavonoid Content of Edible Plants

open access: yesJournal of High Institute of Public Health, 2023
Flavonoids are ubiquitous compounds commonly found in vegetables, fruits and other plant foods. Although not considered nutrients per se, consumption of various flavonoids is associated with established health benefits.

The Seasonal Cycle and Interannual Variability in Stratospheric Temperatures and Links to the Brewer–Dobson Circulation: An Analysis of MSU and SSU Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Previous studies have shown that lower-stratosphere temperatures display a near-perfect cancellation between tropical and extratropical latitudes on both annual and interannual time scales. The out-of-phase relationship between tropical and high-latitude

Seasonal variability of the warm Atlantic Water layer in the vicinity of the Greenland shelf break [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The warmest water reaching the east and west coast of Greenland is found between 200?m and 600?m. Whilst important for melting Greenland's outlet glaciers, limited winter observations of this layer prohibit determination of its seasonality.

Variabilidade sazonal e biossíntese de terpenóides presentes no óleo essencial de Lippia alba (Mill.) N. E. Brown (Verbenaceae) Seasonal variability and terpenoid biosynthesis of the essential oil of Lippia alba (Mill.) N. E. Brown (Verbenaceae)

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2009
The essential oil of the leaves of Lippia alba chemotype linalool-1,8-cineol was extracted by hidrodistillation at different seasons and analyzed by GC/MS.

The “Inverse” Seasonal Blood Pressure Variability Phenotype

open access: yesРациональная фармакотерапия в кардиологии, 2021
The seasonal blood pressure variability (BPV) is known to demonstrate a typical winter peak. Recently, more attention is paid to the opposite situation: the summer BP levels being higher than those in winter. This phenomenon is called inverse BPV.

Variability in upwelling across the tropical tropopause and correlations with tracers in the lower stratosphere [PDF]

open access: yesAtmospheric Chemistry and Physics, 2012
Temporal variability of the upwelling near the tropical tropopause on daily to annual timescales is investigated using three different estimates computed from the ERA-Interim reanalysis.

Eddies in the Tropical Atlantic Ocean and Their Seasonal Variability [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2019
AbstractWe study mesoscale eddy characteristics in the tropical Atlantic Ocean, using 23 years of daily altimetry sea level anomalies. Eddies are mainly generated in the eastern boundary upwelling systems and in the Brazil Current region. Their westward propagation speed reaches 20 cm/s in equatorial areas, decreasing with latitudes.

Interannual variability of tropospheric composition : the influence of changes in emissions, meteorology and clouds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We have run a chemistry transport model (CTM) to systematically examine the drivers of interannual variability of tropospheric composition during 1996-2000.

Forecasting the Dialysis Burden in Japan: Validation‐Based Projections of Prevalence and Incidence Through 2050

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.
