Experience with Seawater Injection
Middle East Oil Show, 1987ABSTRACT ADMA-OPCO has been injecting seawater for more than 10 years into two separate fields offshore Abu Dhabi. Some wells have shown deterioration in injectivity. The causes of deterioration and remedial action to regain injectivity are discussed.

Science, 1980
Nitrite photolysis at natural light intensities and normal nitrite concentrations in seawater produced detectable concentrations of nitric oxide, which was consumed rapidly by a dark chemical reaction in the laboratory. Nitric oxide was also detected in situ in nitrite-rich surface waters of the central equatorial Pacific, where it formed in daylight ...

Disinfection of Seawater and Its Neutralization Using Seawater Battery
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2018Seawater disinfection is a commonly used technology in many functional systems operated in the seawater environment to prevent biofouling due to the formation of biofilms by microorganism growth, which induces an operational problem in the long-term.

A classification of flotation processes carried out in concentrated electrolyte solutions, e.g., seawater, is proposed using the most obvious features of these processes: low or high content of Mg2+ and Ca2+ ions, pulp ionic strength, and pH. The first distinguishable group is the processes carried out in NaCl/KCl solutions, about 0.5 M in the case of ...

Aspects of the Geologic History of Seawater
Origins of Life, 1974It would be marvelous if I could unfold before you a grand panorama of the chemistry of the earliest oceans; unfortunately I cannot. We now know a good deal about the limits to the chemistry of the oceans during the last 600 m.y., and about the mechanisms that have kept the composition of ocean water within its rather narrow bounds.
