Desmoplastic Seborrheic Keratosis
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2003Eleven cases of seborrheic keratoses with desmoplastic stroma and associated nests and cords of squamous epithelium simulating infiltrating carcinoma are presented. There were 7 males and 4 females ranging in age from 44 to 88 years (mean = 62). Eight cases were on the head and neck, one each on the lower and upper extremity, and one on the pubic area.

The status of the seborrheic keratosis
Clinics in Dermatology, 2018Seborrheic keratosis (SK), whose appearance is generally a small roundish reddish to brownish scaling lesion ranging in size from a few mm to many mm, may have a single presentation or be one of many such lesions. Because it is a commonly encountered lesion on the face, trunk, or extemities and is readily recognized clinically, it is infrequently ...

KERATOSIS (SEBORRHEIC AND SENILE)
Archives of Dermatology, 1949IN THE past, the keratoses arising in senile or actinic skin were considered in the same category and not differentiated. The nomenclature and descriptions of these lesions caused confusion. More recent investigation has recognized two types, 1 the senile (senile keratosis, keratoma senilis, hyperkeratosis senilis) and the seborrheic (seborrheic ...

Treatment of Seborrheic Keratosis
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1970To the Editor.— The report of F. E. Mohs, MD ( 212 :1956, 1970), entitled "Seborrheic Keratoses: Scarless Removal by Curettage and Oxidized Cellulose" is deserving of some comment. Dr. Mohs has made other very valuable original contributions to medicine, but curettage removal is probably preferred by the majority of the breed of dermatologists.

Melanoma Within the Seborrheic Keratosis
Dermatologic Surgery, 2004Seborrheic keratoses (SKs) are common benign nonmelanocytic epidermal tumors with characteristic clinical features, which are thought to allow a straightforward diagnosis in most situations. As a result, it is an accepted practice to destroy them without histopathologic confirmation.

Trichilemmal Differentiation in Seborrheic Keratosis
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 1981An 88‐year‐old woman who developed a nodule in a lesion of seborrheic keratosis on the frontal scalp was observed. Histopathologically, the nodule was characterized by lobular acanthosis consisting of glycogen rich clear cells and squamoid cells with squamous eddies and melanin blockade melanocytes.

Acantholytic variant of seborrheic keratosis
Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 1990From among 504 histologic specimens of seborrheic keratosis (SK), 09 showed acantholysis, not related to pemphigus, Darier's disease, actinic keratosis or acantholytic squamous cell carcinoma. Acantholysis was found in 04 (03.3%) of the irritated type of SK, almost exclusively in the squamous cell nests showing dyskeratosis and spongiosis between and ...

Dermoscopic diagnosis of seborrheic keratosis
Clinics in Dermatology, 2002Diagnosis of seborrheic keratosis is, in general, a clinical diagnosis, but in a certain percentage of cases, differential diagnosis between pigmented seborrheic keratosis and malignant melanoma might be difficult. According to the guidelines of the Consensus Net Meeting on Dermoscopy (held in Rome in February 2001), the diagnostic strategy includes ...
