Secant-Type Iterative Classes for Nonlinear Equations with Multiple Roots
General-purpose iterative methods for solving nonlinear equations provide approximations to solving problems without closed-form solutions. However, these methods lose some properties when the problems have multiple roots or are not differentiable, in ...

Dynamics of the Secant map near infinity [PDF]
We investigate the root finding algorithm given by the secant method applied to a real polynomial $p$ of degree $k$ as a discrete dynamical system defined on $\mathbb R^2$. We extend the secant map to the real projective plane $\mathbb {R P}^2$. The line

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe

Directional secant method for nonlinear equations
We present a directional secant method, a secant variant of the directional Newton method, for solving a single nonlinear equation in several variables. Under suitable assumptions, we prove the convergence and the quadratic convergence speed of this new ...

On the modification of newton-secant method in solving nonlinear equations for multiple zeros of trigonometric function [PDF]
This study discusses the construction of mathematical model modification of Newton-Secant method and solving nonlinear equations for multiple zeros by using a modified Newton-Secant method. A nonlinear equations for multiple zeros or multiplicity m>1 is

ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Identified through the use of statistical design of experiments and metallographic investigation, this study exposes the stochastic origins of intergranular cracks in blown powder laser beam directed energy deposition additive manufacturing of pure molybdenum. It further demonstrates a successful crack mitigation approach with direct correlation to the
