libmpdata++ 1.0: a library of parallel MPDATA solvers for systems of generalised transport equations [PDF]

open access: yesGeoscientific Model Development, 2015
This paper accompanies the first release of libmpdata++, a C++ library implementing the multi-dimensional positive-definite advection transport algorithm (MPDATA) on regular structured grid. The library offers basic numerical solvers for systems

On representation of solutions of second order elliptic systems on the plane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The analogue of the Privalov theorem is established for solutions of elliptic systems of second order in Lipshitz domains. The corresponding result is also obtained with respect to the weighted H¨older spaces.

Bio‐Inspired Magnetically Tunable Structural Colors from Elliptical Self‐Assembled Block Copolymer Microparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae. Embedded superparamagnetic nanoparticles enable rapid magnetic alignment, restoring vivid, angle‐dependent color.

Explicit Exact Solutions of the (2+1)-Dimensional Integro-Differential Jaulent–Miodek Evolution Equation Using the Reliable Methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2020
In this article, we utilize the G′/G2-expansion method and the Jacobi elliptic equation method to analytically solve the (2 + 1)-dimensional integro-differential Jaulent–Miodek equation for exact solutions.

Differentiability of solutions to second-order elliptic equations via dynamical systems

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2011
For a second-order elliptic equation in divergence form we investigate conditions on the coefficients which imply that all solutions are Lipschitz continuous or differentiable at a given point. We assume the coefficients have modulus of continuity satisfying the square-Dini condition, and obtain additional conditions that examples show are sharp.

Understanding the Role of Superhydrophobicity and Superhydrophilicity in Salt‐Spray Corrosion of Nanosecond Pulsed Laser‐Textured AA2024 Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanosecond pulse laser texturing yields superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic AA2024 surfaces. Salt‐spray tests show that periodic superhydrophobic patterns suppress pitting, whereas superhydrophilic textures enhance it, linking laser‐induced morphology, wettability, and oxide chemistry to corrosion resistance.

Hypercontractivity, supercontractivity, ultraboundedness and stability in semilinear problems

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2017
We study the Cauchy problem associated to a family of nonautonomous semilinear equations in the space of bounded and continuous functions over ℝd{\mathbb{R}^{d}} and in Lp{L^{p}}-spaces with respect to tight evolution systems of measures.

Shaping of Biohybrid Functional Living Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a strategy for shaping living mycelium into functional materials by directing its natural growth. Nanoparticles armor hyphae, micron‐scale particles entangle within the network, and printed hydrogel architectures steer expansion, creating defined geometries.

Bounded and large radially symmetric solutions for some (p,q)-Laplacian stationary systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2012
This article concerns radially symmetric positive solutions of second-order quasilinear elliptic systems. In terms of the growth of the variable potential functions, we establish conditions such that the solutions are either bounded or blow up at ...

Existence of solutions to quasilinear elliptic equations in the Musielak–Orlicz–Sobolev spaces for unbounded domains

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2020
The paper considers the existence of solutions of the Dirichlet problem for nonlinear elliptic equations of the second order in unbounded domains. Restrictions on the structure of quasilinear equations are formulated in terms of a special class of convex
