Application of kinetic flux vector splitting scheme for solving viscous quantum hydrodynamical model of semiconductor devices

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
In this article, one-dimensional viscous quantum hydrodynamical model of semiconductor devices is numerically investigated. The model treats the propagation of electrons in a semiconductor device as the flow of a charged compressible fluid.

Numerical solution to nonlinear Tricomi equation using WENO schemes

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
Nonlinear Tricomi equation is a hybrid (hyperbolic-elliptic) second order partial differential equation, modelling the sonic boom focusing. In this paper, the Tricomi equation is transformed into a hyperbolic system of first order equations, in ...

Pellet Printing for Soft Robotic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF) is established here as a reliable method for fabricating soft, airtight robotic devices. Through coordinated optimization of hardware, material selection, and process parameters, this approach enables high‐speed printing of thermoplastic elastomers with silicone‐like softness and modulus.

PAIR: Reconstructing Single‐Cell Open‐Chromatin Landscapes for Transcription Factor Regulome Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
scATAC‐seq analysis is often constrained by limited sequencing depth, extreme sparsity, and pervasive technical missingness. PAIR is a probabilistic framework that restores scATAC‐seq accessibility profiles by directly modeling the native cell–peak bipartite structure of chromatin accessibility.

Approximate solution of nonlinear hyperbolic equations with homogeneous jump conditions

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2019
We present the error analysis of class of second order nonlinear hyperbolic interface problem where the spatial and time discretizations are based on finite element method and linearized backward difference scheme respectively.

Synchronization‐Dissipation in the Cardiorespiratory System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By modeling central nervous coupling and viscoelastic interactions in the cardiorespiratory system we show that synchronization produces a 10% gain in cardiac efficiency in humans. It is surmised that respiratory sinus arrhythmia improves cardiac pumping efficiency by reducing dynamic stress and power dissipation in the pulmonary vasculature.

Bounded solutions of nonlinear hyperbolic equations with time delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
We consider the initial value problem $$\displaylines{ \frac{d^{2}u}{dt^{2}}+Au(t)=f(u(t),u(t-w)), \quad t>0, \cr u(t)=\varphi (t),\quad -w\leq t\leq 0 }$$ for a nonlinear hyperbolic equation with time delay in a Hilbert space with the self adjoint

Some non-linear s.p.d.e.'s that are second order in time

open access: yes, 2002
We extend Walsh's theory of martingale measures in order to deal with hyperbolic stochastic partial differential equations that are second order in time, such as the wave equation and the beam equation, and driven by spatially homogeneous Gaussian noise.

Kirchhoff equations in generalized Gevrey spaces: local existence, global existence, uniqueness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this note we present some recent results for Kirchhoff equations in generalized Gevrey spaces. We show that these spaces are the natural framework where classical results can be unified and extended.
