Secondary Cell-Wall-Specific Glycoprotein(s) from French Bean Hypocotyls [PDF]
Specific labeling of secondary cell walls of tracheary elements and of xylary and phloem fibers has been observed when wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) and anti-WGA antibodies were used during ultrastructural studies of French bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) hypocotyls. In this report we demonstrate that at least part of this labeling is due to the presence of

Transcriptome analysis of secondary cell wall development in Medicago truncatula [PDF]
Legumes are important to humans by providing food, feed and raw materials for industrial utilizations. Some legumes, such as alfalfa, are potential bioenergy crops due to their high biomass productivity. Global transcriptional profiling has been successfully used to identify genes and regulatory pathways in secondary cell wall thickening in Arabidopsis,

A pore tuning strategy to amplify the multi‐site MOF‐SO2 interactions is proposed to achieve an enhanced trace SO2 capture and chemiresistive sensing in highly stable isostructural DMOFs by annelating benzene rings. This work provides a facile strategy to achieve tailor‐made stable MOF materials for specific multifunctional applications.
