Research on fast response criterion of power grid distributed loads after HVDC block fault
The system equivalent inertia of the power grid is gradually decreased with the increasing penetration of renewable energy resources, which leads to a higher risk of frequency fluctuation after a major fault.

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Primary frequency control of DFIG-WTs using bang-bang phase angle controller [PDF]
A bang-bang phase angle controller (BPAC) was proposed in this study for the primary frequency control of doublyfed induction generator-based wind turbines (DFIG-WTs). Dynamics of the internal voltage of a synchronous generator (SG) and that of a DFIG-WT

Conventional stepwise inertial control (SIC) is decoupled from grid frequency, which limits the real-time frequency perception of wind turbines and may lead to severe secondary frequency drop (SFD).

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Influence of Secondary Impact on Printed Wiring Assemblies—Part II: Competing Failure Modes in Surface Mount Components [PDF]
Portable electronic devices are commonly exposed to shock and impact loading due to accidental drops. After external impact, internal collisions (termed “secondary impacts” in this study) between vibrating adjacent subassemblies of a product may occur if

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Design of a novel vortex-based feedback fluidic oscillator with numerical evaluation
In this study, a new vortex-based fluidic oscillator was designed whose performance was numerically evaluated by solving the URANS equations. The oscillator consists of a primary chamber and secondary chamber, separated by a mid-throat and connected by ...
